His father suffered a stroke and passed away last week. The funeral is to be held on Saturday, 15th at Mr Mnikathi’s home in Hammarsdale. Should you wish to make a contribution to costs, please send such to the school, in an envelope marked as a contribution. You should have all received the notice of meeting for the elections of our School Governing Body. Nomination forms for proposed members are available from Mrs Zietsman. Please give this serious consideration and support. We will need you to attend the meeting as the new SGB members are elected. The voter’s roll is available should you wish to confirm that your name appears. There will be prizes drawn and to claim the prize, you will have to be present. Friday this week, 13th is Civvies Day. Your child may choose to dress in white, pink or red: we are celebrating Valentine’s Day. To participate your child will need to pay R5,00 or bring an item of pet food. We are supporting the SPCA. Our extra mural programme caters for both the sport and cultural activities. Our school does have sporting fixtures and we need to have teams. There are limited opportunities for District level but if a child is selected, this information is positive for High School bursaries. My concern is that attendance at extra mural activities is disappointing in that many pupils have decided to not attend.
