ATCP 11.52], relating to the Statewide Rabies Control Program, the owner of any dog kept or exhibited in Wisconsin (other than a dog kept for educational or scientific purposes) shall have the dog vaccinated against rabies by a veterinarian at no later than 5 months of age and revaccinated within one year after the initial vaccination. Any person (including out-of-state exhibitors) who imports a dog into Wisconsin (for exhibition or any other purpose) must have a valid interstate health certificate or certificate of veterinary inspection for that dog, regardless of the age of the dog. The certificate must be completed by a veterinarian; accompany the dog when it enters this state; and indicate the current vaccination status of the dog. Vaccinations shall be administered by a veterinarian and comply with age and time standards and label instructions approved by the federal bureau for the type of vaccine used.
