the Centennial Gymnassium of Manila Central Unviersity last February 12. It was attended by more than 1,000 participants, composed of top revenue
official, LGUs, public and private entities, students and media partners. RD Florendo cited the various accomplishments of the region, including its
priority programs for year 2015. He also appealed to the taxpaying public to again support the government's continuous tax reform efforts thru their
timely tax payments. Among the highlights of the event were the unveiling of the 2015 Tax Campaign Theme "Angat Pa Pinas" Do your share, Pay your
Taxes and the Pledge of Commitment, which was done thru the lighting up of the Angat Pa Pinas Symbol and a ceremonial toast. The Kick-off was
followed by a Briefing on e-BIR Forms and other Tax Updates with TSPMD Chief Marivic Galban as resource speaker. PTV 4 Covered the event.

Preparedness Seminar &
Fire & Earthquake Drills in RR 14
Asst. Regional Director Nasser Tanggor of RR 14-Tacloban City spearheaded the conduct of the Disaster Preparedness Seminar and Fire and
Earthquake Drills held last February 6 at the BIR Regional Conference Room.
Fire Inspector Agustin Ballo, Deputy to the Provincial Fire Marshall of Western Samar was the resource speaker. The seminar was attended by RR 14's
Emergency Response Teams namely: Communication and Warning Team,
First-Aid/Medical Team, Fire Safety/Fire Fighting Team, Evacuation and
Damage Control Team and the Security and Crowd Control Team.
