Utilizing MS Excel as a Tool in Computing the Rating of Students’ Performance
To:
District Supervisors, Principals/ Heads of Public Elementary and Secondary Schools
1. In connection with Deped Order 73, s 2012, Guidelines on the Assessment and Rating of
Learning Outcomes under the K to 12 Basic Education Curriculum, the office has come up
with a proposal of utilizing available technology in computing the assessment and rating
of the learners. In this regard the office shall conduct a Division Training at Sto. Cristo
Integrated School Conference Hall because in today’s working environment, proficiency in
MS Excel is significant. This is intended for the DepEd Computerization Program (DCP)
recipients and prospect schools on the following dates:

February 18, 2015 – 8:00 – 5:00pm Batch 1 (See enclosure 1)

February 20, 2015 – 8:00 – 5:00pm Batch 2 (See enclosure 2)
2. This training aims to:
Equip participants the needed skills in making use of MS Excel as a computing tool in the
rating of learning outcomes.

Gain an in-depth understanding of the fundamentals of Excel and its advantages

Put into practice the theories and functions of Excel
3. All participants (ICT leaders of public elementary and secondary schools) must bring the
following:

Laptops

Extension Cord

Printer
4. An amount of three hundred pesos (Php 300) shall be collected from the participants as a
registration fee for their food and training paraphernalia.
5. Compliance to this memorandum is a must.
