Neville, Fletcher, and Pickens Clinical Research Partnerships-Jennifer Wilson/Dr. Olson Open Networking-Dr. Wang-Price Dr. Mary K. de Groot, PhD Dr. de Groot Associate Professor of Medicine, Psychology. She is a clinical health psychologist whose research focuses on the psychological sequelae of Type 2 diabetes among adults, with a particular emphasis on the relationship between diabetes and depression. Dr. de Groot's research also involves examination of CRP, IL-6 and other immune markers in patients with Type 2 diabetes and depression. Leading expert in her field and recipient of various NIH & HRSA grants ranging upward of $3,000,000. Her primary appointment: Division of Endocrinology, Indiana University School of Medicine. Dr. Susan L. Murphy, ScD, OTR Distinguished Speaker Dr. Murphy is an Associate Professor in the Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Department and a Research Health Science Specialist at the VA Ann Arbor Health Care System, GRECC. She has been the recipient of various grants through NIH, the Department of Veteran’s Affairs, and the American College of Rheumatology’s Research and Education Foundation.
