Big Data
MY CAR,
MY DEALERSHIP,
MY REPAIR SHOP
For car manufacturers and dealers, a close customer relationship is
decisive in handling steadily increasing expectations. The solution is
stronger connections between car owners, dealerships and repair
shops. Customer Experience Management Automotive by T-Systems
connects all the relevant players in the sales and after-sales automotive market. It addresses two major points of customer contact:
actual and potential car purchases and customer contacts during
service visits. CEM Automotive provides a variety of different services:
showroom proximity, mobile service check-in and service tracking.
All these user-specific, vehicle-specific and site-specific services
are available in the portal in a Software-as-a-Service model, as well
as in a mobile environment, directly from the T-Systems cloud,
around the world 24/7.
Together with partner BMW, T-Systems is presenting premium
mobility services, using a BMW i3 as an example: through an
on-board broadband Internet connection and the myKIDIO app,
parents can give their children age-appropriate in-car entertainment. Smart home functions can also be executed easily and
securely directly from the car with the “iDrive” controller.

SECURITY
IT SECURITY FROM
BACKBONE TO SMARTPHONE
Attacks by cybercriminals are becoming more and more professional.
A single successful attack on large company’s IT systems can easily
cause damage to the tune of several hundreds of thousands of euros.
This means IT security must be designed in an end-to-end concept.
In security matters, Deutsche Telekom builds on partnerships with
leading specialists. Together with the cybersecurity experts at FireEye,
T-Systems offers a solution against advanced persistent threats.
AlienVault is a partner solution that targets the SME segment in
particular. Customers reap myriad benefits from Deutsche Telekom’s
secure networks: for example, DDoS attacks can already be identified
and prevented within the backbone, before they hit the customers’
firewalls. The Corporate Security Hub cloud service protects smartphones and tablet PCs by filtering malicious code from the Internet
before it reaches the user devices.
Companies currently face the challenge of having to utilize huge
amounts of data from a variety of sources correctly. Big data
solutions enable companies to analyze their collected data nearly in
real time, producing meaningful results. But if you want to capture
the full potential of big data, you need an end-to-end strategy.
T-Systems demonstrates the corresponding full-service package
at CeBIT 2015, from the collection of the data at its generation
point to its secure transport through Deutsche Telekom’s network
and even cost-efficient storage and smart analytics. To do so,
T-Systems has partnered with renowned companies (Cloudera,
Empolis, Microstrategy, SAP and SAS Institute) to offer platforms
and analytics solutions that are compliant with even the strictest
data protection standards, to meet your specific demands.

Public Transformation
MORE PEOPLE-CENTERED
THROUGH MOBILE
RECORDS PROCESSING
Many local governments, faced with shrinking budgets and increasingly demanding citizens, would appreciate an extra 100,000 euros
in the general fund. By digitizing services, government agencies
can tap a number of sources of potential savings. The electronic
records solution from T-Systems supports the public sector in these
efforts by reducing processing times significantly. This cuts costs
and improves customer satisfaction. The T-Systems solution also
enables agency staff to access documents on the go. With an electronic file, employees have full, up-to-date information about a specific
matter at all times. Mobile availability reduces research times and
renders large paper printouts obsolete. At CeBIT 2015, you will see
how agency employees can access files through their mobile devices.
WIRTSCHAFTSWUNDER 4.0 –
DIGITIZATION MADE IN GERMANY
ICT is having a disruptive effect on the entire economy. Nearly
every industry has been subjected to far-reaching changes in
recent years, including several market shakeouts. Eight of the
ten most valuable brands today are companies in the IT, electronics and Internet business. In future, digital transformation
will decide on the future of companies. Those that digitize their
business models successfully gain value and revenues. Those
that fail to do so will soon become uncompetitive.
German businesses have missed the digitization boat so far,
say analysts unisono. Yet the prerequisites for a successful
digital transformation have never been better: some 1,300
global leaders are headquartered in Germany and German
companies exported more products to the rest of the world than
ever before. In short, while the German economy isn’t Silicon
Valley, it is very successful in its own way. The German mentality
would rather finish one thing well than start 1,000 things at the
same time. Reliability, innovation and quality are the factors
that make German companies world-beaters.
We don’t believe that a digital economic miracle will take place
on its own. But we are sure that we are working toward this
vision and can realize a Wirtschaftswunder 4.0 together, based
on this outstanding foundation. Through collaboration with
other market leaders such as SAP, Microsoft, Salesforce and
Cisco, T-Systems is offering our customers the know-how they
need for digital transformation from a single source. These
solutions can be seen at CeBIT 2015, including applications and
services from the key IT areas cloud computing, collaboration,
Industry 4.0, M2M, digital retail and big data – along with IT
security as a major component of “Digitization made in Germany.”

NEW NETWORKS TO
MASTER DIGITIZATION
By connecting the value chain between companies, Industry 4.0
enables a new kind of manufacturing. Deutsche Telekom supports
businesses as a partner in this new information age. It offers its
customers secure, scalable solutions, the best network and the
greatest connectivity. To do so, Deutsche Telekom relies on an
intelligent combination of manufacturing technology and IT, based
on defined standards. One example is the CIP (Connected Industry
Platform), which helps companies ensure their end-to-end digitization.
Deutsche Telekom will also be presenting other solutions, based on
pilot projects and joint research ventures with industrial partners.

CONNECTED INDUSTRY – M2M
WHEN MACHINES
TALK TO MACHINES
The digital production line requires a new, effective method of
monitoring the machine pool. The M2M solutions by T-Systems let
companies organize their machine management centrally – creating
the foundation for the Internet of Things. Predictive maintenance
enables companies to react to changes in the supply chain efficiently
and proactively. Track & trace solutions provide information about
the location and state of goods at all times. These are just a few
benefits of M2M, which minimize downtimes, optimize business
processes and support the development of new business models.
They convey a crucial competitive advantage. The M2M solutions
by T-Systems are based on a secure cloud infrastructure in data
centers located in Germany.
Digital Retail
BECAUSE YOU WANT
REPEAT CUSTOMERS
Customers get more than 40 percent of the information relevant to
their purchase decisions from digital sources. Retailers who succeed
in integrating these sources in their infrastructure comprehensively
can respond to the needs of their target groups more actively and
more specifically. At CeBIT 2015, T-Systems presents end-to-end
solutions for digitizing retail, based on two industry scenarios: DIY
and Future Supermarket. Mobile payment and proximity marketing
lets retailers address their customers individually, independently of
location. Indoor analytics provides insights into customer behavior
within retail spaces. And a customer experience management
solution helps you ensure that customers who visit your store will
want to come back.
The IT outsourcing business has long gone beyond settling for the
„same mess for less.” Today, failsafe operations and high availability
are more in demand than ever, along with projects completed within
the agreed time frame. Providers also have to be able to solve problems for their customers. In short, top IT quality is a must. Only
outstanding IT quality frees up CIOs to concentrate on their business
targets and pursue essential innovations. According to a study by
PWC, decision-makers rate quality as the most important criterion
for selecting an IT service provider (84 percent). This means quality
is more important than price. That’s why T-Systems pursues a strict
no-defect culture with its zero outage program, which includes
uniform process standards and proactive risk management, among
other elements. At CeBIT, we will show the competitive advantages
that T-Systems customers reap as a result.
With digital cloud processes, cloud services and the opportunity to
reorganize corporate communications with VoIP and UCC, today’s
networks face major challenges. Flexibility and maximum security
are crucial success factors. Many of today’s current heterogeneous
networks are not up to the task. That’s why Deutsche Telekom is
converting its networks to an All-IP standard, to pave the foundation
for future-proof networking. At CeBIT 2015, T-Systems shows the
new opportunities this transformation presents, including powerful VPN connection technologies and IP voice lines with central
configuration of services and applications. And everything as an
end-to-end solution, if desired: from the application in the cloud to
fully-managed VPN and LAN infrastructure.
Cloud Transformation
Digital transformation
from infrastructure
to application
Digitization is changing customer expectations and behavior –
drastically in many cases. This applies to B2B and B2C alike. As a
result, from a strategic perspective, IT is becoming more and more
important for business success. At the same time, in addition to
achieving lower costs and greater flexibility, CIOs have to manage
the increasing demands from their specialist departments. They
clamor for the fast, simple mapping of IT to new business ideas,
so they can manage their business better and more effectively in
a competitive environment. All the while, the IT also has to meet
growing demands for governance and security. The bottom line:
modern infrastructures and applications are essential. Companies
can rely on T-Systems’ powerful IP network and highly standardized, flexible dynamic cloud platform for their digital transformation.
Offerings include vCloud services, which provide Infrastructure-asa-Service quickly and easily. For the IT department to respond to
business processes immediately, data must be available in real
time. With the Dynamic Services for SAP HANA®, T-Systems offers
a fast, simple way to get started in the real-time analysis of big data,
without requiring any major up-front investment. At the application
level, the T-Systems solutions presented at CeBIT 2015 will include
Data-Orchestration-as-a-Service, which keeps data synchronized
across a variety of business applications, in addition to the established Dynamic Services for SAP® Solutions.
Greater mobility, seamless collaboration and the complexity and
costs of a hardware-centric desktop infrastructure are the major
challenges that corporate IT departments face. In light of this,
three-quarters of IT managers believe the modernization of the
workplace is essential. With Dynamic Workplace, T-Systems offers
a private cloud solution that both meets users’ demands and
verifiably cuts costs. Dynamic Services for Collaboration (DSC)
deliver Microsoft applications such as Exchange, Lync and
SharePoint from failsafe data centers to promote enterprise-wide
collaboration. Mobile workplace services guarantee uniform enterprise mobility management. T-Systems presents other examples
and solutions for workplace transformation at CeBIT 2015.
