Strategic Planning Facilitator
Response Deadline for Submission:

The Dewitt District Library (DDL) is seeking a professional library consultant to lead our strategic planning process.
The Strategic Planning Facilitator will:





Facilitate the strategic planning process using a methodology effective for public libraries
Design an effective method for data gathering to identify community needs
Facilitate meetings on the planning committee
Assist in the identification of service priorities, goals, objectives, and activities
Assist in identifying gaps where the current library operation is insufficient to meet the identified service
priorities
The Strategic Plan will identify a plan which addresses five primary areas of focus:





Library services
Library material
Library technology
Library outreach
Library building
Through this process, the DDL expects to have a Strategic Plan in place by fall 2015 that will guide the activity and
use of resources over the next five years.
Scope of Work:





Review the library’s vision, mission, and value statements
Establish a 5 year framework
Develop a one year action plan
Solicit feedback from staff and community stakeholders
Provide a written report
Response to the RFP:
