s g n i h T e t i r u Favo EDITION WINE LIST 2015 Yes we love wine, we are a wine merchant! But we also love a cool pint of Yorkshire Bitter... ...aah drive out the Northern Thirst. Favourite Things Edition 2015 Wine List I do hope that you like our wine list cover for our 2015 wine list. With the help of the internet and Google, I found this wonderful picture titled “Ice Cream Sundae” painted by Helene S. Leonardi. I Managed to find Helene, she lives in Brooklyn in New York City and for a few dollars she has allowed us to reproduce her lovely picture. So this is the lead into our Favourite Things Edition. A personal and eclectic mix of food and wines, a bit of fun. Our range of wines increases. An exciting new arrangement in Prosecco with the prestigious Casa Astoria. In South Africa I am delighted to be working with the superb wines of Groote Post. The Firth & Co collection of wines is being launched this year and I look forward to introducing you to them in the coming months. Please have a good read through the list and get in touch for more information. I hope they will become some of your favourite things! (cheesy I know) Very best wishes, Andrew J. The climate here is very cold in the winters but with lots of sunshine and warmth in the Spring and Summer, prices are getting a little more realistic during this endless recession. 1010 1003 1004 Georges Cartier Brut, Epernay Halves Magnum 18.95 22.74 9.9511.94 39.5047.40 Paul Louis Martin Grand Cru, Bouzy, (Firth & Co Collection) Great value from this famous village. 21.95 26.34 Malard 1er Cru Brut, Aÿ 22.50 27.00 Louis Roederer Brut Premier The best of the big names. 29.50 35.40 Magnum 59.00 70.80 Malard 1es Cru Brut Rosé Aÿ 26.95 32.34 Laurent Perrier, Cuvee Rosé Brut The real thing. 45.00 54.00 130.00 156.00 1011 1012 1013 1006 Bottle Ex. Great Chardonnay and great White Burgundy should never be dominated by the oaky flavours that spoilt so many New World imitators. The wines from my friends at Pierre Ferraud et Fils in the South of Burgundy continue to impress with their delicious ripe flavours. They seem to have most of the key ingredients, climate, soils, terroir, experience and cuisine. Maybe it just takes a bit of time now, a bit more age on the vines a bit more experience and a bit more export activity. It is certainly a country I like very much and am a great admirer of their wines, looking to further expand the range. We would like to think of this area as being a specialism of ours. Bottle Ex.
