Product Definition
Overview
- Supported in e-config as “non-SIU” hardware machine
type models
- Available for selection for applicable System Storage

Selecting POWER ServicePacs from the e-config Product Wizard
- Start e-config 'Initial Order'
- Select an applicable POWER System product e.g. 8202-E4D
- Select the 'ServicePacs' tab
- Note: both 6661-A01 and 6664-D01 are Defaulted. To remove the ServicePac, change it's
quantity ('Qty') to zero.
- Note: Use the new Software/Service Mass Update function and select 'Do Not Configure
ServicePacs' to easily remove all ServicePacs (page 13)

- e-config will generate a message which must be read by the user. This message
provides some information about the ServicePac. Once the message is read and OK
is selected, the message will change to an informational message

Selecting Storage ServicePacs from the e-config Product
Wizard
- Start e-config 'Initial Order'
- Select an applicable System Storage product e.g. 1747-HC1
- Select the 'ServicePacs' tab

Selecting Storage ServicePacs from the e-config Product
Wizard
- Note if you DO NOT visit the 'ServicePacs' tab you will receive this error window when
you select 'Configure' button (Figure 4)
- In this example System Storage product 1747-HC1 was selected and the ServicePacs
tab was not visited by the e-config user
- The error window will be displayed for each System Storage product that is
configured if the ServicePacs tab for the product was not visited

e-config Proposed Report Output
- For the applicable System Storage products, e-config will now automatically create 2 new items:
1) On the hardware product, a new set of features will be included for the new ServicePacs. The
correct feature will be selected by e-config based on your selection on the ServicePacs tab.
Note: Even if you select not to include a ServicePac, a feature will be added to the hardware product
(1747-HC1 in this example)
2) A new set of ServicePac products will be included. Depending on your selections on the
ServicePac tab, one or more of these products will be added by e-config. These new ServicePac
products will appear in the hardware section of the e-config outputs e.g. 6661 and 6664 (Figure 4)

- Open the wizard
- Select either "All Hardware" or one or more of the hosts: (Figure 8)

- Select "Configure ServicePacs" to configure ServicePacs on all the selected hosts
- Select "Do not configure Servicepacs" to remove ServicePacs from all selected hosts
(Figure 9)
- Select 'Configure' and you are done!
