Fuquay-Varina Ranks in Best Cities for Families in NC Clean Up with the Big Sweep! Are you interested in making your community a healthier, more beautiful place to live? Here’s your chance! Our next Big Sweep will be on Saturday, March 21 from 9 am - 12:30 pm. Volunteers will gather at one of three locations to help clean-up areas that could use a bit of sprucing up. FM2FV spring concert schedule: Thursday, April 23 – Hip Pocket Thursday, May 21 – Liquid Pleasure Thursday, June 18 – Smile Teen Day is Fun Day Saturday, April 18 Join the Fuquay-Varina Police and community volunteers as they demonstrate the dangers of texting and alcohol while driving at the 5th Annual Teen Day Fuquay on Saturday, April 18th from 11 am - 4 pm at South Park located at 820 South Main Street. This event, designed for youth from area middle and high schools, offers a DWI simulator, an obstacle course, drunk goggles and pedal cart course, and lots of other hands-on driving and learning experiences. If you have children nearing driving age, this is a "don't miss" event. The simulation of an accident scene is riveting! In addition to a great learning experience, students will be treated to a free lunch, fun activities and prizes. The first 250 students to complete the Drive Wise Course, a group of activities to teach teens that drinking and driving don't mix, will receive a free t-shirt. This free program is hosted by the Town of Fuquay-Varina and the Fuquay-Varina Police Department.
