Ahoy there all ye pirates! We hear 'tis ye birthday 'n ye wanna throw a parrrty. We're goin' ter show ye
how 'tis done, pirate-style. Ye wanna be Captain of the Ship? Decorations? Activities? Explore the
decks? We've got it all. Just beware ye're not forced to walk th' plank. Remember … dead men tell no
tales, HA HA mee hearties.
Hire the most famous pirate ship in England! The Golden Hind – Brixham’s Treasure for
an exclusive and unforgettable children’s birthday party that the children will love!
The birthday child will be the Captain of the Ship… the mini pirates can explore the decks
and displays and ‘Raise the Birthday On Board Flag’! Come rain or shine, the indoor
Great Cabin is the perfect pirate den, decorated in a pirate party theme, with atmospheric
low lighting, wooden tables & benches.
THE SILVER PIRATE PARTY PACKAGE INCLUDES:
Duration: Two hour slots term time week days after school, Saturdays and
Sundays 10 am to 6 pm (subject to ship availability)

A pirate themed invitation to download, personalise and print
Personalised “Captain for the day” welcome on-board sign for the birthday
child
A warm welcome from a member of the Golden Hind team who will show you
to the Great Cabin party area and will be on hand to help with any questions
The indoor Great Cabin will be decorated with banners, flags and pirate
tablecloth
Cake plate/cake slice for the birthday cake ceremony
Suggested party games for you to organise whilst on board
On board shop will be open offering a great range of quality mementos for
sale
Suitable for boys and girls aged 5 years +
Serve your own party food
Help with clearing up service

Costumed storyteller who will engage with the children to share tales of life on
board, organise a tour of the ship and help with organising party games
The exclusive Golden Hind ‘Join the Rat Race’ or ‘Skeleton Sid’s Secrets’
Pirate hats for the party group and Captain’s hat for the birthday child
Paper cups, plates, napkins and serving plates
Party treasure bags of chocolate coins and a take away activity (picture to
colour or similar)
Price £15 per child – minimum charge £225 – maximum 30 children
ADDITIONAL SERVICES
If you would like to book the ship for more than two hours, this is possible at £75 per
hour/part hour over the two hour allocated slot.
If you would like the mini-pirates to choose a take home gift from the shop up to a
designated value this is possible. Assuming an item price of £2 and 15 children, the cost
would be £30. Included in this price would be a gift up to the value of £5 for the birthday
child. If you prefer, a “lucky dip gift” can be arranged with wrapped presents up to the
designated values for each child.
If you want to add to your pirate party experience (face painting, tattooist, pirate cake),
we may be able to help provide contact details for additional services that you can arrange
for your pirate party. Please tell us what you have in mind and we’ll do our best to help.

Provide all party food and drinks
Are responsible for helping to clear up and leaving the ship – ‘Ship Shape!’ J
Supervise children at all times whilst embarking, on board and disembarking the
ship – see ship’s ‘Golden Rules’
Provide cake and coordinate any cake ceremony
Organise the mini pirates whilst they are on board – for the gold package the
costumed storyteller will be on board to help
PLEASE REMEMBER
As the Golden Hind is an historic replica museum ship there is no modern day toilet
on board! Public toilets are located within close walking distance of the ship.
Some of the ship’s decks are outdoors and therefore may not be accessible in wet
weather.
Raising the birthday flag is outside and may therefore be subject to weather
conditions.

A non-returnable deposit of £50 will secure any date/ slot. Preferably please make final
payment by cheque or BACs payment one week before the party. You can pay the
balance payment in cash on the day however we find it works better if this is done before
the party, so that your focus on the day can be completely on your mini pirates!
