All
The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ
and the love of God,
and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit, be with you all.
And also with you.
Almighty God,
to you all hearts are open, all desires known,
and from you no secrets are hidden.
Cleanse the thoughts of our hearts
by the inspiration of your Holy Spirit,
that we may perfectly love you,
and worthily magnify your holy name;
through Christ our Lord. Amen.
The Kyrie (for music see CP #706)
The Collect
God of dispossession,
you rebuke our refusal
to give up our idols,
separate and safe:
send us with Jesus
on the way of the cross,
that we might lose our love of death
and take the risk of life,
through Jesus Christ, the new covenant. Amen.
Children’s Time
Hear God’s Word, a flame that lights our path each day.
See God’s Word, reflected in our lives.
Live God’s Word, throughout each day, in work and play.
God’s own Word, keeps us alive. (Music: Lynne Graham; Lyrics: Lynley Lewis)

22
I will tell of your name to my brothers and sisters;
in the midst of the congregation I will praise you:
23
You, who fear the LORD, praise God!
All you offspring of Jacob, glorify God;
stand in awe, you offspring of Israel!
24
For you, Lord, did not despise or disdain
the affliction of the afflicted;
you did not hide your face from me,
but heard me when I cried to you.
R
25
From you comes my praise in the great congregation;
my vows I will pay before those who fear you.
26
The poor shall eat and be satisfied;
those who seek the Lord shall praise the LORD!
May your hearts live forever!

The peace of the Lord be always with you.
And also with you.
The members of the community, ministers and people,
may greet one another in the name of the Lord.
For dominion belongs to the LORD
who rules over the nations. R
Romans 4 : 13 – 25
Most merciful God,
we confess that we have sinned against you
in thought, word, and deed, by what we have done,
and by what we have left undone.
We have not loved you with our whole heart;
we have not loved our neighbours as ourselves.
We are truly sorry and we humbly repent.
For the sake of your Son Jesus Christ,
have mercy on us and forgive us,
that we may delight in your will,
and walk in your ways, to the glory of your name.
Prayer over the gifts
God of wisdom,
may the light of the eternal Word,
our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ,
Guide us to your glory.
We ask this in his name. Amen.

Prayer after Communion
Celebrant All your works praise you, O Lord.
All
and your faithful servants bless you.
Gracious God,
we thank you for feeding us
with the body and blood of your Son, Jesus Christ.
May we, who share his body,
live his risen life;
we, who drink his cup,
bring life to others;
we, whom the Spirit lights,
give light to the world.
Keep us firm in the hope you have set before us,
so that we and all your children shall be free,
and the whole earth live to praise your name;
through Christ our Lord. Amen.
The Lord’s Prayer
Celebrant
All
As our Saviour taught us, let us pray,
Our Father in heaven,
hallowed be your name,
your kingdom come,
your will be done, on earth as in heaven.
Give us today our daily bread.
Forgive us our sins
as we forgive those who sin against us.
Save us from the time of trial,
and deliver us from evil.
For the kingdom, the power, and the glory are yours,
now and for ever. Amen.

We break this bread,
Communion in Christ’s body once broken.
Let your Church be the wheat
which bears its fruit in dying.
If we have died with him we shall live with him;
if we hold firm, we shall reign with him.
