PARENT GOVERNOR ELECTIONS
Thank you to all parents who voted in the recent Parent Governor elections. Mr Richard Lock received the most
votes and is therefore elected as your new Parent Governor. Congratulations to Mr Lock.
GEOGRAPHY DEPARTMENT REQUEST
The Geography department would like old ‘property sections’ of any newspapers that you may have lying about!
Students should bring them to the Humanities office or N22. Thank you.
CHRISTMAS CONCERT DVD
We apologise for the delay in the release of the Christmas concert DVD. It has now been compiled and edited
and is available from Mrs Willcox in the Eastman Building for £3.
WORLD BOOK DAY
Thursday 5th March will be a 'fancy dress' day where students and staff can come to school
dressed as their favourite literary character. This is not a non-uniform day and students have
the choice whether to dress up or come to school in uniform.
There will be a cake sale in the Library during break time to celebrate World Book Day with some book themed
cakes. Contributions will be gratefully received. All Proceeds will go to Comic Relief.
STARS IN THEIR EYES
Chelmer staff will be performing on stage on Friday 6th March at 7pm. Student dancers will be accompanying
some of the acts. Tickets are on sale now through WisePay priced at: £5 Adults, £3 Concessions. All proceeds
of the event will be donated to Cancer Research UK. Come along with you own refreshments for an evening of
fun!
ENRICHMENT EVENING – WEDNESDAY 25TH MARCH
Departments will be opening their doors after school and running an
exciting range of activities designed to enrich the current learning of the
students. These activities are open to all; information will be circulated via
form time and sign up sheets will be displayed around the school.
Get involved! Speak to Miss Hill if you have any questions.
