Associate Pastor Search
Town Hall Dialogue
Sunday, March 1

After much dialogue and discernment, the AP Search team is pleased to
recommend a candidate for Grove’s next Associate Pastor of FORMATION.
Join the Search team for a town-hall style dialogue where we will recount
our 13 month search process, introduce the candidate, and answer your
questions about the process ahead. In order to accommodate as many
Chestnut Grovians as possible, we will host two sessions on Sunday, March 1.
Each will commence immediately following our morning worship gatherings.

What’s Happening at the EE ??
Coffee with a Cop Wednesday, February 25
10-11am. Join your neighbors and police officers for
coffee and conversations.
Exchange for a Change is having a prom
clothes event! We are accepting prom clothes until
February 28 and will hold boutique sessions on
March 14 & 21, all at the Earlysville Exchange.
Please bring in prom dresses, shoes & suits in all
teen sizes.
ESL Classes are beginning at the EE with a
conversation partner program. The program will
connect an English speaker with an individual seeking to practice his/her conversational English. The
partners will set the meeting time and location.
Partners will meet weekly for 30-60 minutes. No
foreign language experience is necessary, just a
willingness to talk and listen with others. If you are

Family Game Night
On Friday, March 13, 6-8pm you are
invited to Chestnut Grove to share
and play a variety of games. We
will gather around tables to connect
with in fun and new ways. Pizza,
drinks, and popcorn will be provided. Bring your family’s favorite game and invite others to learn and play it with you. Please RSVP by

Expanding our
Container(s)
Ever heard the story of Pastor
Lance’s college-era coffer pot? It
made delicious coffee… for two!
To accommodate the expanding faith community
connected to Chestnut Grove, CG’s leaders are
assessing which ministries require “container expansion”
in 2015- as well as how to expand faithfully. On
January 29, CG’s Worship Expansion Task Force commenced weekly meetings to determine how to best
expand Sunday worship capacity. Equally exciting,
CG’s Nursing Care Ministry team leader, Carl Knauer,
reported last week that “Tuesday Church” at Grace
(formerly Evergreene) “has doubled.” Carl’s team now
facilitates two concurrent worship services in two nearby rooms. Worshipers outgrew their container! While
adjusting to a new container is “challenging,” says
Knauer, it also creates new places to serve. Mr. Knauer
invites you to join the team. Volunteers help lead
worship weekly on Mondays and Tuesdays at Grace &
The Laurels, respectively. To join either team, please
contact Carl any Sunday after worship.

pass it along as desired.
