The Tulip Time Festival is pleased to announce the “1st Pig in a Blanket Competition” at Marktplaats 2014. We are looking for candidates who think that their pig recipe is the best!! Who: Individuals who have a special Pig in a Blanket recipe. Where: Dutch Marktplaats 2014 Holland Civic Center, 150 W. 8th St. Holland, MI 49423 When: Tuesday, May 6 @ 2:00pm ‐ ‐ ‐ ‐ ‐ ‐ ‐ ‐ ‐ All entrants must submit recipe with their entry to the competition. All entrants must grant permission to print recipe and picture if selected as winner Must include entry fee of $15 along with application. Entry due date is April 21, 2014. Round one competition will be held on April 25, 2014. o Cooked pigs must be delivered on a disposable, non‐returnable plate, to the Tulip Time office between 8:00‐9:00am on April 25. The Office is located at 74 W. 8th St. Holland, MI 49423 o Name and phone number should be written on the bottom of the plate. Top winners will be notified by April 25, 2014. Top winners must deliver cooked pigs to Civic Center on May 6th by 1:45pm. o Each winner must have 3 pigs on one disposable dinner size plate. o Name and phone number should be written on the bottom of the plate. Judging will take place at 2:00pm on Tuesday, May 6 on the Civic Center stage. Applicants should be present for judging at 2 p.m. 3rd Place Prize $15 Restaurant gift certificate and $10 gift certificate to VanderVeen’s The Dutch Store 2nd Place Prize $25 Restaurant gift certificate and $10 gift certificate to VanderVeen’s The Dutch Store 1st Place Prize $35 Restaurant gift certificate and $25 gift certificate to VanderVeen’s The Dutch Store, participate in parade, and media coverage.
