Admission Notification for Three Year Diploma Engineering (Polytechnic) Entrance Test-2015

Online Applications are invited from the candidates interested in appearing in the Three
Year Diploma Engineering Entrance Test-2015 for admission in the Polytechnic Courses of Govt.
and Private Polytechnic Colleges in the State. The candidates must be permanent residents of the
State and eligible to appear in the Entrance Test under relevant rules. The selection of the
candidates shall be governed by the J&K Board of Professional Entrance Examination Act, 2002 and
the Rules thereunder; JK Reservation Act, 2004 and the Rules thereunder and Guidelines as
contained in the Electronic Information Brochure-2015. These Rules and E-Brochure are available on
the official websites of the BOPEE www.jakbopee.org / www.jakbopee.net.
Online Application Forms
The Application Form has to be submitted online only through BOPEE websites
www.jakbopee.org / www.jakbopee.net (through URL’s/ links provided for this purpose) from 28th
Feb. to 20th March, 2015.The payment of rupees 500 (Rupees five hundred only) as fee is also to be
made online through the HDFC integrated Payment Gateway which can be used to make payment
with any National Credit Card/Debit Card/Net Banking or by downloading online generated Bank
Challan of J&K Bank/HDFC Bank for depositing the fee amount, in any branch of J&K Bank or HDFC
Bank , directly in the BOPEE Account. The procedure for filling up of the Application Form and
eligibility etc. of the candidates has been given in detail in the E-Brochure. The candidates must
necessarily, in their own interest, go through this Brochure before attempting to fill up the online
Application Form.
The applicants are advised to fill up the online Application Form on their own or through a
responsible person. The applicants can also avail services at Common Service Centres (Khidmat
Centres) of J&K State for filling up online Application Form at nominal charges. The rate list for
various services to be availed at Khidmat Centres is available on the official website of the BOPEE.

The candidates must upload their recent photograph in jpg/jpeg format.
Submission of Online Application Forms
The candidates of open merit need not to submit any Confirmation Page in the BOPEE office.
However, the candidates claiming benefit of any reserved category (including Sports) have to
submit Confirmation Page of their online Application Form (by hand or by post) along with the
attested photo copy of the reserved category certificate in the office of the J&K Board of
Professional Entrance Examinations,(BOPEE) Srinagar/Jammu on any working day from 10 A.M. to 5
P.M. on or before 20th March, 2015
The sports category candidates have to indicate their sports category on the Application Form
(Confirmation Page) and attach valid sports certificate(s). They are also required to submit their
Sports certificate(s) in the office of the Secretary Sports Council for determining their sports
points which will be afterwards officially forwarded by the Council to the BOPEE. The BOPEE,
however, shall not be responsible for non-inclusion of any candidate in the list forwarded by the
Sports Council or for their delay in submission of sports points to the BOPEE.

The candidates having more than one reserved category certificate can get benefit of only
one category indicated in the Confirmation Page which in no case shall be changed
afterwards. The candidate, whose category certificate has not been found valid, will be
considered in open merit, if found otherwise eligible without any further notice.
The reserved category candidates, who fail to deposit their Confirmation Page of Application
Form complete in all respects by or before 20 th March,2015 up to 5:00 P.M., shall have to pay a late
fee of Rs. 500/- (Rupees five hundred only) through Bank Challan or POS machines available at
BOPEE office Srinagar/Jammu by or before 23rd March upto 05:00 P.M where-after no Confirmation
Page will be entertained, whether submitted by hand or by post. The Confirmation Page, posted by
Ordinary/Registered or Speed Post or sent through courier within the prescribed last date, but
reaching BOPEE office, Srinagar/Jammu after the expiry of the last date prescribed for the
submission of the Confirmation Page, shall not be entertained. The reserved category candidates
have to ensure that their Confirmation Page reaches BOPEE office within the stipulated time.
The candidates can change/ modify their online Application Form at any time before they
submit it online. They are advised, in their own interest, not to share their login details with
anybody, lest he/she may get an opportunity to change important details in the Application Form.
They can check the status of their Application Form on 25th March on the official website of the
BOPEE. If any form is not confirmed for want of required information, the candidate concerned
must report in the BOPEE office Jammu or Srinagar on 26th March, 2015 failing which his/her
Application Form shall be rejected.
Eligibility for appearing in Polytechnic Entrance Test, 2015
I.
A candidate must:
(a) be permanent resident of the State as defined in section 6 of the Constitution of the
J&K ;
(b) have passed Secondary School Examination (Matriculation or equivalent
examination)
from
a
recognised
statutory
Board.
The candidates
appearing/appeared in 10th class examination can also apply for the Entrance Test;
(c) have obtained 40% marks in 10th class in case of open merit and 37% marks in
case of reserved category; and
(d) have passed Science and Math subjects in 10th class examination at the time of
counselling and secured percentage of marks as required in cl ( c) above.
Note:
(a) There is no age bar for appearing in the Entrance Test for admission to Polytechnic Courses, both in
Government and Private Colleges.
(b) No under process certificates will be accepted.
(c) The information provided by the candidates in the online Application Form cannot be
verified from the original documents by the BOPEE before issuance of merit list. The
candidates will have to produce certificates in original in the BOPEE office Srinagar or
Jammu on the day of counselling. The BOPEE will, thereafter, issue select list for admission
of the candidates. The information on the Confirmation Page or on the Admit Card of the
candidate shall in no case be construed as an acceptance of that information/category

certificate by the BOPEE. Therefore, if at any stage, it is found that a candidate has
provided false or incorrect information in respect of any eligibility condition, his/her
candidature will be cancelled without any further notice.
(d) The Candidates are hereby sternly warned not to resort to any unfair/fraudulent means or
act of impersonation at the time of Entrance Test. In case a candidate is found taking
recourse to such acts, criminal prosecution shall be launched against him/her and his/her
abettors. He /she shall be permanently debarred from appearing in any future in the
Entrance Test.
Original Documents Required to be submitted in the College at the time of Admission
a) Marks certificate of the qualifying examination;
b) Date of Birth (Matriculation Certificate/Secondary School Certificate) from the Board of
School Education;
c) Permanent Resident Certificate; and
d) Original category certificate, in case of candidates belonging to any reserved category
including sports category.
Admit Card:
The candidates can download their Admit Cards from the official website of BOPEE
indicating Venue and Time of the Entrance Examination for which a separate notification shall be
issued in due course of time.
Date of the Entrance Test
The Entrance Test shall be held on 10th of May (Sunday)-2015 and shall have only one
meeting. The details are given in e-brochure.
