Course Objectives:
At the end of this event, participants should be able to:
• Identify and discuss the radiographic anatomy of the
supra and infrahyoid neck.
• Apply a systematic approach to reading cross-section
exams of the neck.
• Review and evaluate indications for the biopsy of
thyroid lesions.
• Identify and apply the current advances in stroke imaging.
• Develop a simplified approach to lesions of the jaw.

Keynote Speaker:
James J. Abrahams, MD
Professor of Diagnostic Radiology and Surgery,
Neuroradiology Fellowship Director, and Chief of ENT
Radiology at the Yale University School of Medicine, New
Haven, Connecticut, U.S.A.
Dr. Abrahams has dedicated his life to teaching Radiology and is respected and endeared not only by his students at Yale,
but by students and physicians nationally and internationally. He is known as an engaging and entertaining lecturer who is
able to simplify difficult concepts and present information in an interactive fashion. Dr. Abrahams has twice won the Teacher
of the Year Award from the Yale Radiology Department, and has also won the Society of Distinguished Teachers Award from
the Yale University School of Medicine and the Excellence in Education Award from the Yale Radiology Department.
He was the Director of Medical Studies at the Yale School of Medicine for many years and instrumental in integrating
radiology into the medical school curriculum and is Director of the Yale Physicians Associate Program Radiology Course.
He has been a visiting professor nationally and internationally including, Honduras, Guatemala, Mexico, Canada, and Turkey
and was part of the relief mission in Sir Lanka after the Tsunami.
Dr. Abrahams has contributed to the medical literature with many articles and chapters and is best known for his work on
imaging of the jaw and Dental Implants. He is credited for introducing this area of medicine into the field of Radiology.
Dr. Abrahams’ journey to his current position in radiology at Yale University was rather untraditional having started by
graduating from Medical School at the Universidad Autonoma de Guadalajara in Mexico. After graduation he completed a
year and a half of surgical residency in Buffalo, NY and then worked as an Emergency Room physician in Buffalo for a year
prior to starting his Diagnostic Radiology Residency at the Albany Medical Center of Union University in Albany, NY. He then
completed a one-year Fellowship in Neuroradiology also at Albany Medical Center, and then a second year of Neuroradiology
Fellowship at Yale University School of Medicine in New Haven, CT where he has remained ever since.

Access to archived versions of the CME program will be made available to all CME participants.
Two archived formats will be available. Participants can choose to access the entire event,
or access the program on a-lecture-by lecture basis.
Instructions on how to access the archived CME program will be emailed to all participants
(live program and webcast of the live program) as soon as they are available.
Archived versions of the CME are usually available within 7 to 14 days of the live event.
CANCELLATION POLICY
For OAR members, if cancellation to this event is necessary please, contact the OAR office for assistance. For non-members, a refund will be made less
a $50 processing fee, if cancellation is received in writing two weeks prior of the CME event date.No refunds will be given within two weeks of the
CME event. Delegates may substitute an alternate attendee. Please advise the OAR if any changes are made. The OAR reserves the right to cancel or move the conference should it become necessary. In this case, each registrant will be notified by telephone or email and a full refund will
