Calendar for Easter

Early this morning, the day after the Academy Awards,
I was watching the "Charlie Rose" show on PBS as he
interviewed many of the top actors. This year, many
portrayed real people. They would describe at length
of how they studied, in every posible way, everything
about that person in great detail. They were literally
trying to become that person they were
portraying. Isn't that a picture of what Christians
should be doing when it comes to Jesus? Actors may
quickly drop that persona and move on to
another. Elizabeth and I have often wondered if
someone portraying Jesus or a faithful Christian, has
seen their life changed in a God-ward direction by their
role. Believers are to portray Christlikeness always
and everywhere.
Don't forget also that Christ came to portray what a
real human being was supposed to look like. I still
cannot get over the fact that Jesus claimed no special
advantages for Himself in this fallen world that we
cannot also realize :
memorized Scripture, prayer, and obedience. These
were the conduits for the power He received and
displayed. That's why Paul the apostle referred to Him
as the Last Adam, the new human, the upward call He
extends to us all.

We need meals for Wednesdays this
Spring. If you are thinking about
providing a meal you will need to plan
on 30-35 teens. Team up with a
friend! If you have questions contact

MCDONALD
OUTREACH
We are very excited to have been able
to continue our work with the Ronald
McDonald House of Central Ohio
located in Columbus. This Ronald
McDonald House is actually the largest
one of its kind in
the world and is
able to serve an
average of 350
people daily as it
is located right
across the road
from Nationwide
Children's
Hospital.
A group from
our church will
be going and preparing three meals
within the next five months for the
families staying in the house. We will
be serving dinner on March 8th, May
17th and July 19th. This has been an
amazing experience for all involved and
we hope that God will continue to use
us to share his love with the families
within the Ronald McDonald House.

High School Senior
Meeting
High School Seniors
please plan to stay after
church (11:45) on March
15 to discuss some
activities for the end of
your senior year. Topics
will include fitting in a
college ready program,
senior trip/mission trip,
Graduation Sunday and
Youth Sunday. We will
grab some food together
so bring $10 if you are
able. Have some ideas
ready to discuss!
Interested in a Chrysalis Flight this Summer? The dates are July 10-12 for the ladies and July 31-Aug 2 for the guys.
Please let Michele know if you are interested in this experience, you are eligible if you
have completed your freshman year of High
School!
Don't forget that your
mission trip forms are
due on May 3rd. Home
is going to be an awesome project, we can't
wait to see how God will use us in our community this Summer!
