A 30­year­old man is being held
without bail outside Atlanta,
charged with killing his fiancee
after first reporting her death as
a suicide, police said.
Antione Hood was arrested
Friday in connection with the
fatal shooting of elementary
school teacher Candace
McGriff, 28, in DeKalb, Ga.
Hood reported the death of his
live­in girlfriend Tuesday and
told police she had shot herself
in the chest when Hood tried to
break up with her, the Atlanta
Journal­Constitution reported.
