 Nomination should be done only by the applicant i.e. a candidate can nominate only him /
her.
 Application should be filled in by the applicant in his / her own handwriting.
 All the Columns in the application should be filled.
 Strick out or write “Not Applicable” in the columns which are not relevant to the
applicant’s category.
 All details provided should be supported by photo copies of relevant documents.
 Signature of the applicant in the declaration is very important.
 The nomination should be supported by a staff member of his / her own department.
 The same applicant may apply for any number of categories using one form for each
category.
 Hard copies of the filled in application forms should reach the department office within
10 days from the day of advertisement.
 Results will be announced before the annual day.

Thugil Selvam : For the best outgoing student of the department
Eligibility : A student is eligible to be nominated for this award if he/she has a minimum
attendance percentage of 85% in all semesters, CGPA of 7, active participation in all
department and college events, no bad remarks from any of the staffs, good co-ordination with
staffs and students.
Thugil Sristi : For the best project in the department
Eligibility : A student is eligible to be nominated for this award if he/she done an innovative and
useful project for the development of the department and the society.
Thugil Vendhar : Best department representation in the outside world
Eligibility : A student is eligible to be nominated for this award if he/she has represented the
department in the co-curricular events conducted by other colleges/industries and won
recognition. Publication of papers/Articles in technical journals and conferences with good
impact factor will also be considered.
Thugil Maalai : For 100% attendance
Eligibility : A student is eligible to be nominated for this award if he/she has 100% attendance
percentage in the semester.
Thugil Vaagai : Best department representation in sports
Eligibility : A student is eligible to be nominated for this award if he/she has represented the
department in the Extra-curricular events conducted at college/University/Zonal/
District/State/National/International levels.
Thugil Mani : Best department representation in cultural events
Eligibility : A student is eligible to be nominated for this award if he/she has represented the
department in the Cultural events conducted at college/University/Zonal/ District/
State/National/International levels.
