A.L.S.A.M.E. Scholarship: The application deadline is March 31 2015. This scholarship
is intended to recognize and support students who, through their past activities or educational
aspirations, have indicated an interest in the advancement of underrepresented groups in the

Athnet Sports Scholarship: This application ends June 1st 2015. We help athletes find
opportunities to play college sports and get an athletic scholarship. Our free online athlete
profiles are used by over 95% of college coaches to identify and evaluate potential recruits.
These profiles give recruits the opportunity to get discovered by college coaches and proactively

B. Davis Scholarship: This application ends May 25th 2015. This Scholarship is available
to all high school juniors and seniors as well as all students currently registered in any postsecondary institution. You can get up to $1,000. For more information go to

Building Foundation Scholarship: Open Enrollment during any semester or term.
The Building Foundations Scholarship allows a provider to complete an approved Early
Childhood Education course at a participating college or university. This class can then be
applied toward an Associate's degree in Early Childhood Education or Child Development and
can be used toward licensing requirements for annual training. For more information go to

Eligibility Criteria:
 Work a minimum of 20 hours per week in a licensed child care center, group home or
registered family home.
 Earn $14.25 or less per hour as a teacher, assistant, or aide.
 Earn $15.00 or less per hour after expenses as a family home provider or a group home
owner.
 Earn $15.00 or less per hour as a director.
 Work for a center or group home and the center or group home agrees to sponsor you.
Caretenders Scholarship Program: This application ends on May 31st, 2015.

CASE Credit Union Scholarship: The application deadline is April 1st 2015. CASE
Credit Union is pleased to announce the availability of 6, $1,000 scholarships* for the 2015/16
academic year. You must be a college-bound high school senior to be eligible for this award.

CHI Epsilon Omega Scholarship (Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority): The deadline for

East Michigan Chapter: Air & Waste Management Association: The application
deadline is March 15th 2015. The East Michigan Chapter, A&WMA, is pleased to announce up
to two $2,250 Scholarships to be awarded to students studying for an environmental career. One
of the two Scholarships awarded is the Paul R. Shutt Memorial Scholarship in honor Mr. Shutt, a

Eaton Rapids Business and Professional Women’s Club: The deadline for this
application is March 31st 2015. This scholarship is for $1,000 payable by the term/semester. To
be eligible you must be a female at least 25 years of age, a resident of the Eaton Rapids area
school district and have maintained a minimum C average in an accredited college or vocational

Education and Training Voucher (ETV): Application deadline varies please check
site for the current deadline. Offer up to $4,000 towards school-related costs and living fees. It
is for youth that were in foster care after the age of 14. Contact Lutheran Social Services of

You must receive your first ETV prior to your 21st birthday. You are then eligible until
your 23rd birthday, provided you receive at least a 2.0 GPA and do not drop more than one
class per semester.
Eligibility Criteria:
 Were in foster care on or after your 14th birthday because of abuse/neglect.
 Were adopted from foster care on or after your 16th birthday.
 Must have a high school diploma or GED.
 Attend at least half-time, an accredited school that:
o Awards a Bachelor’s degree or no less than a 2-year program that provides credit
towards a degree,
o Provides no less than 1-year of training towards gainful employment, or
o It is a vocational program that provides training for gainful employment and has
been in existence for at least two years.

individual who works at a Meijer store or have a parent or guardian who works at a Meijer store.
Over one hundred $2500 scholarships will be awarded this year along with two $10,000 awards.

Great Lakes National Scholarship: The deadline for this application is April 6th 2015.
The Great Lakes National Scholarship Program, which awards up to 750 scholarships of $2,500

ICMA-RC VantagePoint Public Employee Memorial Scholarship Fund: The
application deadline is March 15th 2015. The fund provides financial assistance to the
surviving spouses and children of employees who have died in the line of duty and are planning
to attend an accredited two-year community college, four-year accredited university, or
vocational school full-time. Each year, scholarships in amounts of up to $10,000 are awarded to

Eligibility:
 Children and spouses of local and state government employees who have died in the line
of duty may apply for the ICMA-RC VantagePoint Public Employee Memorial
Scholarship Fund.
 The applicant must provide a letter from the deceased employee's place of work.
 The applicant must currently attend or plan to attend school full-time at an accredited
two-year community college, four-year accredited university, or vocational school at the
time of application.
 Study can be at the undergraduate, graduate, or technical level.
 Awards are granted without regard to race, color, creed, religion, age, gender, disability,
or national origin.
Lapeer County Community Foundation: The application deadline is March 31st 2015:
The Lapeer County Community Foundation is dedicated to attracting and managing permanently endowed
funds serving a wide range of charitable purposes in order to strengthen the quality of life in Lapeer

Legacy Dr. Alma S. Adams Scholarship: The deadline for this application is April 30th
2015. Dr. Alma S. Adams will award two $5,000 scholarships to pursue undergraduate or

Memorial Healthcare Foundation Gulick Nursing Scholarship: The application
deadline is March 24th 2015. The purpose of this scholarship award is to encourage deserving
applicants within the service area to pursue studies in the field of nursing, to enter the registered
nursing profession, and to encourage these individuals to seek employment at Memorial
Healthcare upon graduation. Applicants must already be accepted into a nursing program

Money Matters and GeoCache for College Students: This event will occur on
Tuesday April 2nd from 1:00 – 3:00 in the Gannon Building, Room 244 and the Highway.
Students will have the chance to win 2-$1,000 scholarship along with many other great prizes!
National Federation of the Blind: The application deadline is March 31st, 2015.
To recognize achievement by blind scholars, the National Federation of the Blind annually offers
blind college students in the United States and Puerto Rico the opportunity to win one of thirty
merit-based, national-level scholarships worth from $3,000 to $12,000. All scholarships awarded

The SEMA Memorial Scholarship Fund is dedicated to fostering the next generation of
automotive aftermarket industry leaders and innovators. Scholarship awards range from $2,000 $3,000, with $5,000 going to the top student. For more information go to

Taylor Garden Club Jeanne Eckert Scholarship: This application deadline is May 1st
2015. We offer the Jeanne Eckert Scholarship in the amount of $1000 to a college student or

Warner Norcross & Judd, LLP Minority Scholarship: Application opens on January
1st 2015 and closes on April 1st 2015. The Grand Rapids Community Foundation administers a
scholarship program funded by Warner Norcross & Judd LLP aimed at increasing diversity in all
areas of the legal profession. Scholarships for minority students will be awarded to students of
color pursuing paralegal studies, and legal secretarial studies (one awarded in each category).
The paralegal and legal secretarial scholarships are limited to Michigan residents only. For more

Women’s Independence Scholarship Program (WISP): Application deadline varies
please check site for the current deadline. The Women's Independence Scholarship Program
(WISP) was created in 1999 to help formerly battered women overcome barriers to the education
necessary for their becoming employable and financially stable. The primary intent is to help
single mothers with young children who have the greatest financial challenges (childcare costs,
etc.) to gain work skills so they can support their families. Our funds target women who are in
desperate financial situations and absolutely must have both an education and our funds to assist

Eligibility Criteria:
 Survived intimate partner abuse & has been separated from their abuser a minimum of
one year
 Must be a citizen or legal resident of the United States.
 Has applied to or is officially accepted into an accredited course of study at a United
States institution.
 Demonstrates a critical need for financial assistance.
 Exhibits a strong desire and the ability to complete a training and/or academic program.
 Has a definite plan to use the desired training to upgrade skills for career advancement,
to train for a new career field, or to enter or reenter the job market; and
Has sought services from a non-profit, domestic violence agency for a minimum of 6
consecutive months, and this agency is willing act as sponsor by mentoring and providing
support to the student throughout her educational experience.
ATTENTION VETERANS
MOAA Capital Area College Scholarship: The application deadline is March 15th
2015. The MOAA Capitol Area College Scholarship Program is intended for chapter members,
children and grandchildren of chapter members or children of any Michigan military service
member, who died or was disabled in the line of duty. Also, any Michigan military SERVICE
MEMBER disabled in the line of duty since September 11, 2001 is eligible to apply. For this
program, disabled means the service member is unable to continue in military service because of

Eligibility Criteria:
1. The scholarship value shall be $1,000 to $1,250 for college/university study, job training
programs, or graduate school. Any high school student awarded a scholarship may apply for one

$300. Note: If the applicant is NOT awarded a scholarship, the committee may consider the
