Call for Satellite Meeting Proposals Dear Colleagues, The 12th International Congress of Neuroethology will be held in Montevideo, Uruguay, March 30 through April 3 2016. Following the tradition of previous editions, the organization of cuttingedge satellite meetings on specific topics related to Neuroethology is highly encouraged. The Call for 1- to 2-day long Satellite Meeting Proposals to be held on March 28-29, 2016 is now open. Satellite meetings will take place at academic institutions, which will be arranged by the Local Organizing Committee (LOC). Satellite Meetings’ venue and video/sound equipment will bear no charge on the organizers. We anticipate having up to 6 satellite meetings. We welcome meeting proposals that fulfill the following criteria: 1- Proposals should include an Organizing Committee and one coordinator, who must be a member of the ISN. The coordinator will be the contact person with the 2016 ICN LOC. 2- One member of the LOC will be appointed to each satellite meeting to act as liaison, for logistics. 3- The Organizing Committee of each satellite meeting will be fully responsible for the administrative and financial management of the event. 4- The topic and proposed speakers should not duplicate symposia and plenary lectures of the main meeting. 5- The structure of the satellite meeting is flexible. Proposals can include talk and poster sessions (student and post-doc presentations are encouraged). 6- Proposals are due May 1st 2015. www.neuroethology.org [email protected] www.icn2016.uy Please include the following information in your proposal: 1. Name and affiliation of the satellite meeting coordinator and other members of the Organizing Committee. 2. The title and goals of the proposed meeting. 3. A preliminary program and meeting structure. 4. An estimation of the expected audience. 5. Logistic needs: number and capacity of meeting rooms, space for poster sessions, other needs. Please note that the 2016 ICN LOC will be able to provide free of expenses: a) The venue for each satellite meeting, b) Video and audio equipment, c) The use of the main online platform for registration fees, d) An extension of hotel special pricing during the days of the satellite meetings, e) A local liaison person for logistics, f) Contact information of local providers Please be aware that the 2016 ICN LOC will NOT be able to provide: Food (coffee breaks, dinners, etc.), poster panels, printing, administrative personnel, local transportation.
