The Navman Wireless Satellite Communications solution enables you to have visibility of and communicate with your employees, vehicles and equipment whether they operate and travel in cellular coverage or not. To help manage the cost of satellite communications, you have the option to define which events are vitally important and should be communicated via satellite, while low priority event data is stored on the Qube 4 and uploaded when the vehicle is next in cellular coverage. OnlineAVL2 provides a breadth of visibility and reporting into how your vehicles and equipment are utilised and the activities they undertake. OnlineAVL2 will display each event generated, via the cellular network or satellite, so you can manage the communication channel used for reporting events. • Locate vehicles, equipment and your employees quickly and easily • Improve protection and security of your employees and assets • Identify inefficiencies in vehicle or equipment utilisation • Analyse historical data for routes and site visits to plan more efficient routes and job allocation • Manage vehicle or equipment service maintenance schedule from the OnlineAVL2 application, and receive notifications of when service is due • Protect your employees by monitoring additional sensors to alert on vehicle rollover, man-down, driver duress and accidents Activity logging All events such as ignition status, Geofence entry/exit or Overspeed notifications can be configured to be sent via satellite. Individual events are logged throughout the day and events defined as priority will be sent over the Iridium satellite network, whilst the other events will be stored on the Qube 4 and sent when the vehicle returns into cellular coverage. Communication By utilising our M-Nav messaging and navigation device, you are able to communicate between the office and your field staff via satellite too. Cost of satellite communications can be managed by individually defining each message as priority for it to be sent over the Iridium satellite network. All other messages will be stored and sent to the vehicle when it returns into cellular coverage.
