Although we the opportunity to learn more about the programs students certainly need all the rain and snowpack we can get in the face of a multiyear drought, we Monday‐Friday, March 23‐27 can still hope that gentler springtime is just around the corner. While time away from school at this time of the year can serve to reinvigorate Open House Event Dear Valley Prep Parents, th students (and teachers) to come back with renewed excitement for learning, it can also throw us a little out of rhythm due to the break in our routines. It’s important to remember that when we return we will only have one week remaining in the 3rd Quarter, with report cards being issued on Friday, April 3. As we move from Spring Break mode toward the 4th Quarter of the school year, I encourage parents to reinforce with their children the importance of them staying focused on their school work through the end of the school year. Although our students are inclined to do their best, taking some time to discuss the importance of running through the finish line will assist them in staying focused on academic achievement. It makes little sense to put forth so much hard work throughout the school year only to let grades slip due to a lack of focus at the end of the year. If parents have any concern their student is wavering and not demonstrating satisfactory academic progress, please do not hesitate to contact his/her teacher(s) to ensure things get back on track. Once again, I sincerely hope everyone has a wonderful Spring Break, and I look forward to seeing all of you on our return.
