Salha represent the beautiful ideals and values of Islam; and Whereas, the Council firmly condemns ALL acts of violent extremism and hate and calls for an inclusive community for ALL; and Whereas, the Council also thanks Harvard College for its outpouring of support during this time; therefore Be it resolved that the Council condemn this particularly heinous act that brazenly offends our community’s values of inclusivity and love of one another; and Be it further resolved that the Council publicly express solidarity with the Islamic Community for this senseless tragedy, recognizing that their loss is one that the entire Harvard Community mourns as an affront to the inherent human right to life that we so cherish.
