Canteen NewsMarch is coming in like a lion! Wow, the brutal cold weather is
just too much!! Thank you to all the brave souls that have been visiting the canteen during this winter!! Before we know it, it will be flip
flops and patio time!
Be sure to stop in on St. Paddy's day for some awesome drink
specials! Remember, the kitchen is open 6 days a week for dinner and
Saturdays for lunch!! Also, don't forget to purchase your reverse raffle

over two years of Legion Bingo has seen
a nice crowd of regulars that have shared
in some great jackpots, some fun instant
games and enjoyed one of the areas best venues for bingo! Every Sunday at 4 pm the doors open for
players to settle in and start with the instant tickets and mini game cards while waiting for the main
games to start at 6. Bingo goes to about 9:15, including a break about halfway through. Our bingo
partner, Kent Parks and Rec, provides support and a nice concession counter with a good selection of
your favorite snacks and comfort food. Pick a Sunday and come join us!
Post 496 Reverse Raffle / Silent Auction plans are underway for this year’s
event on Friday, April 24, with no increase in cost - $60 raffle/dinner and
$15 dinner only. The buffet dinner (one of member
Steve’s best) is sure to please, and this year, it will feature an open bar! Hours will run from about 6 -10 with
plenty of time for silent auction bidding, 50/50 purchase and side board action to get in on. It’s always a fun evening
and a great fund-raiser for our Post, so mark your calendars NOW
and get a table of friends together for a fun evening at the Legion!
Did You Know . . . . ?
* * * The Legion now offers lunch on Saturday from 11-2, and, there’s quite a good selection from
which to choose, and occasionally, the kitchen will feature a lunch special! With March Madness starting
(that’s the basketball championships and tournament), the Legion’s a great place to settle in for the games
and get a little something to eat, too! Whether it’s Saturday for lunch or evening dinner time, think beyond
a quick drink and plan a meal with your visit.

We’re trying to get Karaoke back on the calendar and get some of you singing and entertaining
us once again. Watch for announcements once details are worked out for this popular activity.

Our dining area in the canteen has been busy recently with parties marking special occasions and
get-togethers. When your special “smaller” event comes up and you need a nice room at a reasonable
cost, give Kim a call and see what the Legion can do to make your party eventful.
