High Efficiency Machining Technique for Aerospace Industry
Global aerospace industry is estimated to produce 26,000 new aircraft with a total of $ 5 trillion in
five years. To assist the domestic machine tool industry into the international aerospace manufacturing,
ITRI has initiated joint research projects with world leading research institutes to develop digital design,
digital manufacturing and intelligent software, and technical assistance in order to promote aerospace
machine tools R & D alliances. Preliminary achievements are to be displayed in the exhibition by a
number of companies. In the meantime, ITRI Machine Tools Technology Center will invite many
academic and industrial experts from Taiwan and abroad and host a seminar (3/5-3/6) to promote
aerospace manufacturing technology, high-end machine tool design, multi-axis measurements and other
research.
The seminar is able to make the whole industry realize the development status of leading R&D
department s from Taiwan and abroad, and hope it can bring more collaborations between industry and
academy, and also accelerate the development of the domestic aerospace industry.
