A) Special Weather Advisory Bulletin for Dairy and Poultry Farming:
1. Continued high wind speed likely to sustain day time temperature near 36.0°C (96.8°F). High wind speed also
favor gradual rise in day time temperature without any acute shoot-up which may improve bird’s tolerance to
heat. However, continue use of heat stress alleviating medicines in poultry feed.
2. Post mortem observations in the birds brought for diagnostic purpose at Poultry Disease Diagnosis and
Surveillance Laboratory, VC & RI, Namakkal revealed death of birds due to Ranikhet disease and heat stress.
Test for RD titre in birds at this laboratory and vaccinate the birds accordingly and follow summer management
in the farm.
B) Special Agroadvisory from Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Namakkal:
3. As this season is suitable for tomato cultivation, it can be cultivated at 2 x 2 spaces in double rows. Before
