Dear Friends,
It is our pleasure to invite you to the 15th International Congress of the International Federation of Infection
Control (IFIC) and the XIII National Conference of the Hospital Infection Society – India (HISICON),
scheduled from 21st – 24th March 2015 at New Delhi, India.
This international and national conference is being jointly organized by our professional organizations
and shall bring together the leading scientific and technical experts working towards infection prevention
and control.
The International Federation of Infection Control is a worldwide umbrella organisation of societies and
associations of healthcare professionals in infection control and related fields. The goal of IFIC is to
minimise the risk of infection within healthcare settings through development of a network of infection
control organisations for communication, consensus building, education and sharing expertise.
IFIC conferences are characterised by the generous amount of time allotted to discussions and workshops
with considerable interaction between the audience and invited experts. They are international in scope,
with lecturers and participants from all over the world. The official language of the congress is English.
New Delhi, being what it is today, offers all necessary factors required for a preferred destination for this
kind of conference. The approachability, world class Conference facilities, ample accommodation, historical
ambience, cultural mix and the existing premier medical institutions all add to the attractiveness of the city.
In order to augment this, the J W Marriott Hotel has been chosen as our venue, which is by far one of the
leading Conference hotel in the city and the country.
The conference shall showcase advances and good practices in infection prevention and control.
We are sure that this event will provide a unique opportunity for everyone involved to learn about the
latest developments in this rapidly expanding and changing field. It will be a unique platform to foster
knowledge sharing and exchange experiences for the prevention of healthcare-associated infection and
the control of antimicrobial resistance among countries around the world.
We look forward to welcoming you and seek your participation in making this a grand success.
