$15.00 per person - Siena Village at Wayne

March
March is most noted for being the month of the Irish, with the celebration of
St. Patrick’s Day. There are parades, parties, corned beef and cabbage, Irish soda
bread, green beer and everyone is Irish for the day! March also highlights the
peanut with National Peanut Month. It is also the month that brings us the
hopes for the end of winter, by hosting the first day of spring. It is characterized
by snow, rain and lots of wind, therefore it seems logical March is National
Umbrella Month. In addition, we turn our attention to getting back into shape by
observing National Nutrition Month. The theme for 2015 is “Bite into a Healthy
Lifestyle”, which encourages everyone to focus on making informed food choices
and daily exercise to promote overall good health. Since WWII, every president
has designated March as “Red Cross Month”. It is a time to recognize the people
who work hard and dedicate themselves to helping others.

Every year, you sign a lease but do you ever really read it?
For the next several months we will highlight a different
section of the Siena Village lease in the Village Voice.
This month we will be focusing on Section 6: No Assignment
of Subletting which reads “The Tenant may not do any of the
following without the Landlord’s written consent: (a) assign
this Lease, (b) sublet all or any part of the Apartment or (c)
permit any other person to use the Apartment as a temporary
guest with Management’s permission”.
In plain English, what does that mean?

Simply put, Sections (a) and (b) means that the lease is only in
the name(s) of the person(s) who signed the lease and cannot
be transferred.
Section (c) refers to a situation which happens quite often at
Siena with visitors. While we welcome your family and
friends, we require you to adhere to the following:
Guests staying for more than three days/two nights need
the permission of management.
Guests may stay in an apartment for a total of 2 weeks
per calendar year with the permission of management
Guests in emergency situations need permission from
management to stay at Siena Village for an extended
period of time.
Forms are available in the lobby. Your form must be completed
and approved by management prior to your guest’s arrival.
If you have any questions regarding these or any other lease
issues, please contact Laura at 973-696-2811 x11

Community Room
Directions:
Mass 3:00pm
Toss the beef cubes with 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil.
In a separate bowl, stir together the flour, salt, pepper and
cayenne pepper ( if desired). Dredge the beef cubes into
flour mixture to coat. Heat the remaining oil in a deep skillet
or Dutch oven over medium high heat. Add the beef, and
brown on all sides. Add the onions and garlic. Stir in the
the pan and stir to blend. Reduce the heat to medium and
cover. Cook for 5 minutes. Pour a half cup of the beer into
the pan, and as it begins to boil, scrape any bits of food from
the bottom of the pan with a wooden spoon. This adds a lot
of flavor to the stew. Pour in the rest of the beer, and add the
carrots and thyme. Cover and reduce heat to a low simmer
for 2 to 3 hours, stirring occasionally.
