Included in the sculpture garden rental are 5 cocktail tables, 3 small round tables that seat 2-4 people, 8 square tables that seat 4 people, and 2 round tables that seat 4-6 people. These same tables may be used downstairs in the lobby in the case of bad weather, however many clients then prefer to linen the tables for indoor use, as the brushed metal tables can look out of place in the lobby. Fresco’s rooftop lounge furniture is also included in your garden rental, and consists of 2 outdoor sectional couches and 2 glass-top coffee tables. In order to use these furniture pieces you must sign an outdoor furniture agreement that states you will be financiall y responsible for damage to these furniture items. If you do not want to sign the agreement and use the lounge furniture, it will be removed from the rooftop space. We are happy to assist you with the additional rentals if you require more seating for your guests. If you’d like linens for any tables, they will be charged at an additional rate. Please note: Outdoor tables on the State Street side of the Fresco dining room are considered part of the restaurant ’s normal service area. These tables will be seated for regular restaurant use and may not be used for private events unless additional fees are paid to Fresco. If you buyout Fresco restaurant, you gain use of Fresco’s dining room tables and chairs and all of the outdoor tables (16 in total). how does cocktail hour work? If your wedding ceremony and rece ption are both taking place on the rooftop, we will need 45 to 60 minutes to “flip” the space to change it over for your rece ption. After your ceremony, we will direct guests to the museum lobby. During this cocktail hour, we can temporaril y place some of the cocktail tables in that space if you’d like, and you can choose to have our servers pass hosted alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, or set up a bar that can be hosted or cash. If we set up a bar in the lobby, there will be a flat rate of $100 added to your bill for the set up and staffing of the one-hour bar. In the event of inclement weather, your ceremony will take place in the lecture hall and your rece ption will already be set up in the lobby, so cocktail hour and rece ption will take place in the space, which will be set up prior to your ceremony starting and your guests arriving. when does fresco/mmoca make the rain call? De pending on the set up needs of your ceremony and rece ption, we make a rain call three to four hours prior to your wedding. We generall y recommend setting up your event indoors if that chance of rain is more than 30%, but we are happy to discuss this on a case-by-case basis. It is very difficult and sometimes not possible to move a ceremony or rece ption “mid-event” if it starts to rain, which is why we have to be firm on a rain call. what types of décor can be brought, and what will fresco set up? We are happy to place floral arrangements and favors on tables for you, and you are welcome to have candles in the sculpture garden and the restaurant (as long as the glass vessel is higher than the tip of the flame). Candles are not allowed in the lobby. String lights or paper lanterns are allowed on the rooftop, but we ask that you assign the set up to one of your friends, and they must be taken down immediatel y following your event by someone in your party. You may not use nails, tacks, screws or tape on the walls, floors or ceiling of MMoCA or Fresco without the approval of the staff.
