Students with disabilities often require supports and accommodations to help them navigate their way through the maze of rigorous general education standards. In this presentation, we will explore ways in which universal design for learning and assistive technology can be used to provide a roadmap to success and improved learning outcomes for all students. In this presentation, attendees will learn how student culture, along with staff culture, can considerably influence the effectiveness of a school. They will share how PBIS in their school was used to strengthen school culture as well as to impact the application of the Dignity Act.
