CHAPTER
REPORT
Philanthropy
Alumni brothers, Our chapter made great strides and received many accolades in 2014. PA Alpha Delta was once again awarded “chapter of the year” by the Inter-fraternity Council. We were also the only fraternity to receive Diamond Accreditation (4-Star ranking) as a student organization. Pi Lam had the highest GPA on campus and our leadership was demonstrated with brothers on the IFC governing board and executive board of the Temple University Greek Association. We also had a monster spring rush, resulting in pledge class of 15, the largest since rechartering. I hope you enjoy this update. Fraternally, Jay Patel, Rex We crowned a Princess. Spring 2014 saw the birth of the Pi Lam princess pageant, a charity event in which sorority sisters compete against each other in a myriad of events to earn the title of “Pi Lam Princess.” The event raised over $2,000 for the Women Against Abuse Center in Philadelphia. Some 2014 Happenings
We invited alumni for a Homecoming Tailgate. Homecoming may have been the highlight of the Temple football season. In spite of bleak weather conditions, Temple managed to manhandle Tulane 35-‐24. Pi Lam stepped it up too, finding ways to keep our beverages dry and triumphantly celebrate the win in the parking lot with alumni. We cheered the Eagles, and helped raise money with the alumni. In November, we joined alumni at Murphy's Saloon in East Falls (thanks Brother Murph!) to throw our support behind the Birds and the Ian Mentzer Scholarhip Fund. We had a great time hanging out, and supporting a great cause for a fallen alumni brother. We got a photo op with Big Ed! After speaking at Temple on the direction of national politics and policy, Pi Lam alumnus Ed Rendell (Penn) took time out for a pic with brothers. The first Pi Lam Princess, Kelly Smart, is pictured here with brother Dylan McCay. We supported other charities too. We require 20 community service hours per semester for brothers and 15 for pledges. Some of last year’s community service events included: !

Meet the Brothers
Recent Graduates
We welcomed 15 new brothers! PA Alpha Delta is 41 brothers strong, and we continue to work hard every semester to bring in more Pi Lam-‐worthy candidates. Here’s a list of our 2014 pledge classes. We graduated! Well, some of us did. That campus-‐high GPA resulted in this bunch donning a cap and gown. Some have even found gainful employment. Spring 2014 “Kappa” Class Congrats to the class of 2014 and their chosen employer/career path! Name
