We are having our parade on Tuesday the 17th March. Gathering in Galvan's Yard, Waterville Road f rom 11.45am, all f loats must be in place by 12.15pm f or the parade to start at 12.30pm sharp. No cars are to be lef t in the yard as it will be locked af ter the last f loat has lef t. Prizes f or the f loats are 1st, 2nd,3rd in the Motorised category and 1st , 2nd, 3rd in the Walking Category, best overall and best newcomer. Golf Putting Quiz After some very close and exciting contests in Sneem Hotel last Saturday night the stage is set for the concluding stages of this year’s golf putting quiz. The semif inals and f inal take place this Saturday night at 9pm. The contenders that will battle it out for f inal honours are the teams led by John D O’Sullivan, Stephanie Cahill, Mike Merrill and Sean McCarthy. Breda O’Neill stepped down as Secretary, we would like to thank Breda for all her hard work and commitment over the years with the club and would like to wish her all the best. We were delighted with the tremendous success of our Park and Stride initiative and we certainly succeeded in promoting a cleaner, greener and more sustainable mode of travel. Action! We had great f un last week filming “The King Of Tahilla”, a comedy in which all our budding movie stars took part. We were f ortunate to have the opportunity to work with Éanna De Buis f rom Waterville who is the current “f ilm maker in residence” with Kerry County Council, supported by The Arts Council. Our budding Spielberg's’ learnt about all the f acets of movie making. They were out and about while shooting the scenes at a variety of locations and their colourf ul costumes added greatly to the movie making experience.
