All Applicants with “A” level education qualifications are requested to apply for admission directly to the Tanzania Commission for Universities (TCU). For those with diploma qualifications they are advised to apply through NACTE. More information on the mode of application is available on the TCU and NACTE website. BICT) Bachelor of Laws (LL.B) 2.0 Minimum Entry Requirements: A candidate shall be considered eligible for admission to an undergraduate degree programme of Moshi Co-operative University if the candidate has obtained a Certificate of Secondary Education (C.S.E.E) with passes in five approved subjects of which three must be at credit passes prior to sitting for Advanced Certificate of Secondary Education Examination (A.C.S.E.E) or its equivalent. 3.0 Specific admission requirements for each degree programme 3.1 Admission requirement for Bachelor of Arts in Community Economic Development (BA-CED) (a) Direct admission requirements 1 At least two Principal Passes at „A‟ Level in Economics, Mathematics, Commerce, Physics, or History/Biology/Chemistry/Geography may be considered provided the sum of the points should not be less than 4.5. (b ) Equivalent qualifications (i) Holders of a two years Second Class Diploma from the former Co-operative College Moshi, MUCCoBS or its equivalent, provided that they have FOUR passes in relevant subjects in their “O” Level certificate of Secondary Education or its equivalent and a one year certificate from a recognized institution of higher learning, OR (ii) Holders of two years Diploma in Community Development with at least a second class or equivalent qualification from recognized institutions provided they have at least one principal pass at “A” level. 3.2 3.4 Admission Requirements for BA-HRM (a) Direct admission requirements At least two Principal Passes at „A‟ Level in Economics, Accountancy, Mathematics, Commerce, Physics/History/ Biology/Chemistry/Geography/Kiswahili and English Language, provided the sum of the points should not be less than 4.5. (b) Equivalent qualifications (i) Holders of a two years Second Class Diploma from the former Co-operative College Moshi, MUCCoBS or its equivalent, provided that they have FOUR passes in relevant subjects in their “O” Level certificate of Secondary Education or equivalent and a one year certificate from a recognized institution of higher learning, OR (ii) Holders of two years Diploma in Human Resource Management with at least a second class or its equivalent qualification from recognized institutions provided they have at least one principal pass at “A” Level. Admission Requirements for LL.B (a) Direct admission requirements Form VI with at least two Principal Passes in either in Geography, History, Kiswahili, English Language, French and Economics. Provided the sum of the points should not be less than 4.5. (b) Equivalent qualifications (i) Holders of a two years Second Class Diploma from the former i Co-operative College Moshi, MUCCoBS or its equivalent, provided that they have FOUR passes in relevant subjects in their “O‟Level Certificate of Secondary Education or equivalent and a one year certificate from a recognized institution of higher learning, OR (ii) Holders of two years Diploma in Law/Human Resource Management with at least a second class or its equivalent qualification from recognized institutions provided they have at least one principal pass at “A” Level. 3.5 Admission Requirements for BSc.BICT (a) Direct admission requirements Form VI with at least two Principal Passes in Mathematics, Commerce, Physics, Chemistry, Geography, Biology, Economics, Accountancy and Commerce, provided the sum of the points should not be less than 3.5. (b) Equivalent qualifications (i) Holders of a two year Second Class Diploma from the former Co-operative College Moshi, MUCCoBS or its equivalent, provided that they have FOUR passes in relevant subjects in their “O” Level certificate of Secondary Education or equivalent and a one yea certificate from a recognized institution of higher learning, OR 2 (ii) Holders of two years Diploma with at least a second class or equivalent qualification from recognized institutions provided they have at least one principal pass at “A” level. 3.6 Admission Requirements for BA-AF, BA-CMA, BA-MFED, BA-BEC, BA-ME, and BA-PSM (a) Direct admission requirements Form VI with at least two Principal Passes at „A‟ Level in, Economics, Accountancy, Mathematics, Commerce, Physics, Geography and Biology/ Chemistry provided the sum of the points should not be less than 4.5. (b) Equivalent qualifications (i) Holders of a two year Diploma from the former Co-operative College Moshi, MUCCoBS or its equivalent, provided that they have FOUR passes in relevant subjects in their “O” Level certificate of Secondary Education or equivalent and a one year certificate from a recognized institution of higher learning, OR (ii) Holders of two year Diploma with at least a second class or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution provided they have at least one principal pass at “A” level. IMPORTANT FOR 2015/2016 APPLICANTS The programme requirements for the year 2015/2016 use the Old Grading System to applicants who completed Form Four and Form six from 1988-2013. Form Six applicants who completed their studies in 2014, their grades will be translated into Old Grading System as shown in the table below and will be used for this admission purposes only.
