The Committee has made every effort possible to be accurate in the description of each lot in
this catalogue but neither the Committee nor the Bermuda National Trust makes any
warranty as to the correctness, physical condition, quality, provenance, or authenticity of any
lot. No statement contained herein shall be deemed such a warranty. Prospective bidders
should inspect items before bidding.
All bidders must register on arrival. We have now introduced a bidding system using numbered
paddles, which will be issued to prospective bidders at registration. Bidders are asked to show
their numbered paddle to the Auctioneer upon the fall of the hammer.
The sale will start at 10 am and continue until completion.
Unless otherwise announced, all lots will be sold in the order listed in the catalogue.
The Auctioneers reserve the following rights:
(i) to withdraw any item from the sale at their discretion; ii) to make one bid for each lot;
(iii) to reject any bid
No acknowledged bid may be retracted. The highest bidder acknowledged by the Auctioneer
will be the purchaser. In the event of any dispute about whose bid for any one lot was the
highest, the lot will be put up for re-auction at the last undisputed bid. If any dispute arises after
the sale, the Auctioneer’s sale record shall be conclusive.
On the fall of the Auctioneer’s hammer, the purchaser shall assume full risk and responsibility
for the lot purchased and will be held responsible for its collection and removal.
Before any lot may be collected, payment for it must be made in Bermuda dollars or equivalent
thereof. Payment will be accepted (and collection will be possible) immediately after the
auction has ended. NO PAYMENT WILL BE ACCEPTED WHILE THE AUCTION IS IN
PROGRESS.
Only cash/check payments or VISA and Master Card will be accepted.
ALL ITEMS MUST BE COLLECTED AND REMOVED FROM “JACK KING BUILDING”
ON SATURDAY, MARCH 7th, AS SOON AS THE AUCTION HAS ENDED.
