The 2015 Xijing Forum of Plastic and Aesthetic Surgery and the 60th Anniversary
Ceremony of Xijing Hospital Department of Plastic Surgery will be held on April 17-19,
2015, in Xi'an. This event is hosted by The Fourth Military Medical University Xijing Plastic
Surgery Hospital, in collaboration with The Adipose Transplantation Group, The Breast
Plastic Surgery Group, The Laser Aesthetic Group, The Minimally Invasive Aesthetic
Group, The Organ Reconstructive Surgery Group, The Craniomaxillofacial Surgery

The Xijing Hospital Department of Plastic Surgery of The Fourth Military Medical
University was founded in April 1955 in Xi'an by Professor Liangneng Wang, one of the
four recognized pioneer plastic surgeons in China. After sixty years of development, the
department has been upgraded to the Xijing Plastic Surgery Hospital that is currently
one of the largest plastic surgery institutes in China, offering advanced level training
programs, providing services for 120,000 outpatient visits and 20,000 surgical
operations annually. The Xijing Plastic Surgery Hospital is now an approved institute of
National Key Cultivating Discipline and National Key Clinical Specialty, ranks in the top
three plastic surgery institutes nationwide since 2009, and is the only Military Plastic
Surgery Research Institute in China.
The topics of 2015 Xijing Forum of Plastic and Aesthetic Surgery will be focusing on the
research and application of novel technologies, innovative procedures and new
materials in adipose transplantation, breast aesthetics, laser aesthetics, minimally
invasive aesthetic surgery, organ reconstructive surgery, craniomaxillofacial surgery,
wound repair and reconstructive surgery specialties.
The 2015 International Adipose Transplantation Symposium and Surgery Demonstration,
jointly hosted by Xijing Plastic Surgery Hospital and IFATS, will showcase the new
perspectives, approaches and practical techniques in adipose transplantation by the
world leading experts: Drs. J. Peter Rubin, Sydney R. Coleman, Roger Khouri, Kotaro
Yoshimura, Lee L. Q. Pu, Bruce Bunnel (IFATS Chair), Marco Helder, ramon Llull, Adam J.
Katz, and William Futrell.

About Xian
Xi'an is not only a historical and culture city, but also a trendy city permeated
with modern tempo. It is one of the birthplaces of the ancient civilization in
the Yellow River Basin area of the country. At present, Xi'an is the capital of
Shaanxi province.
Bell Tower
The Bell Tower is the geographical center
of Xian. It is a 33-meter-high edifice with
gray walls and a green glazed roof.
The Drum Tower
The Drum Tower is a similar structure to
the Bell Tower. It was erected in 1380. The
Drum Tower got its name from the huge
drum hung within it.
Famen Temple
Situated in Famen Town of Fufeng County, about
120 kilometers (74.57 miles) west of Xian, Famen
Temple was established in the Eastern Han
Dynasty and renowned for storing the veritable
Finger Bone of the Sakyamuni Buddha.
Huashan Mountain
As one of the five best-known mountains in China,
Huashan Mountain is located to the south of Huayin
City, 120 kilometers east of Xian, in Shaanxi Province,
with an elevation of 2200 meters above sea level.
Hukou Waterfall
The Hukou Waterfall is located in Jixian
County of Shanxi Province. The gentle
water gains speed as it rushed forward
till it finally cascades over the waterfall,
forming an illusion of water being
poured from a kettle, hence its name
"Hukou or Kettle spout".
Museum of QIN Terra-cotta Warriors and Horses
The Terra Cotta Warriors and Horses museum covers an area of 16,300 square meters, respectively
divided into three sections. It was also listed by UNESCO in 1987 as one of the world cultural heritages.
Shaanxi History Museum
Shaanxi History Museum
covers a land area of 65000
square meters with the
exhibition area amounting
to 11000 square meters. It
houses a collection of more
than three hundred and
seventy thousand pieces of
precious cultural relics.
Snack
Praised as 'the capital of table delicacies', Xian
has been rich in the delicious Shaanxi snack such
as Pita Bread Soaked in Lamb Soup, Cold Noodle
and
Chinese
Hamburger.
Among
all
the
delicacies, the most famous and popular one is
the Muslim Snack Street.
The Great Wild Goose Pagoda
Great Wild Goose Pagoda, situated in the Da Ci'en Temple, is
one of the famous Buddhist pagodas in China. It is about 4
kilometers from the urban center. The pagoda was an
architectural marvel which was built with layers of bricks but
without any cement in between.
The tomb of Yellow Emperor
Yellow Emperor is a legendary
Chinese sovereign and cultural
hero
who
is
considered
in
Chinese mythology to be the
ancestor of all Han Chinese. The
tomb of Yellow Emperor placed
at Qiaoshan in Yan'an. It is one of
the Key Historical Site under
State Protection of China.
The Xi'an City Wall
The Xi'an City Wall is not only the
most complete architecture well
preserved of ancient Chinese
burghs but also the largest in
size and integral ancient military
fort of the world. There are 98
ramparts in total, four ancient
gates, 5,984 battlements and a
suspense bridge.
