WORLD MEETINGS OF FAMILIES~2015~ PHILADELPHIA~~ Pilgrimage information~ The Diocese of Gary is actively working on two different types of pilgrimages for anyone interested in travelling to Philadelphia for this endeavor. Canterbury Tours~ The Diocese is working with Canterbury Tours to provide a complete package for individuals interested in flying out to Philadelphia for the World Meeting of Families. This trip will include air, hotel, some meals, and sightseeing opportunities such as visits to the Shrines of St. John Neumann and St. Katherine Drexel. The cost of this trip is approx. $1,700 per person. The package does not include registration for the World Meeting of Families. Papal Visit Pilgrimage~ The Diocese has also secured hotel rooms and will charter a bus for individuals wanting to travel to Philadelphia for the Papal visit. Buses will leave our area on Thursday morning (9/24) and will depart Philadelphia on Sunday (9/27) following the Papal Mass. The cost of this pilgrimage is expected to be about $800 per person. FOOD FOR THOUGHT? A young layman was climbing a cliff when suddenly he slipped. He grabbed a branch and hung there. He couldn’t pull himself up and was becoming exhausted.
