The Redken Symposium is an exciting
event where stylists and sales teams
from across the country join in Las Vegas
to see the latest in education, fashion,
and product launches from Redken
Fifth Avenue. This year’s Symposium
was particularly exciting for the East
Coast Salon Services team as one of
our sales consultants, Robert Talewski,
was honored as the number one Redken
sales person in the country.
Many of our sales consultants attended
this year’s event. From the most
seasoned veteran to our newest talent,
the symposium offered wonderful
opportunities for bonding and growth to
all. One of our sales team, Tracey White,
returned enthusiastic to share her team
bonding experience:

This was my seventh time attending the
Redken Symposium but Andie Ross [a
newer ECSS DSC] had never been. It
was wonderful to see her excitement
and remember what it was like for me
the first time that I went. It was fun to see
Andie witness Robert going on stage to
receive his acknowledgement for being
the number one sales person in the
country. It was clear how excited she was
for him and honored to work for the same
company that he does.
Later that evening we went to the
welcome party that started over an hour
late and, yet, she didn’t mind. It was
her first show and she wanted to see it!
We stayed and she loved the show and
the energy in the room. After the show
we were walking through the casino
and came across Robert on the floor.
We stopped to talk and expressed how
excited Andie was to be there. Robert
has been going to the Symposium since
the first one in the 1970’s!
I asked Robert, “As a Senior Salesperson
to a Junior Salesperson, what advice
would you give to Andie?” His answer
was, “Hold on to that excitement. Never
lose it. Most importantly, you have to stay
passionate about your job!” Andie was
elated, honored, and so happy to have
received advice from him.
At East Coast Salon Services we are so
proud of the enthusiasm and support our
Sales Consultants maintain towards their
customers and each other! We want to
extend a big Congratulations to Robert;
High-five to Andie; and a Thank You to
Tracey for sharing your experience!
