Saint Dominic Academy is excited to offer the Rising Leaders Summer STEAM Program for girls entering the 4th, 5th, 6th, 7th and 8th grade in September. These enrichment classes focused on Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math are designed to help young women explore their interests, enhance their talents and abilities, develop leadership skills and create new friendships. Schedule 5 week program June 22 - July 23, 2015 All classes will meet Monday—Thursday, from 8:15 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Every student will take: Public Speaking Workshop, Math, Leadership Skills and also Cardio Fun Every student will have a choice of taking Art Studio or Creative Writing Course Descriptions Public Speaking Workshop: Learn how to use your voice, facial expressions and hand gestures to take command of your audience. Leadership Skills: Go on a journey of transition to become more confident and self-assured. Math: Enhance math skills through hands-on, inquiry based approaches to information and concepts. Preparation for standardized testing. Cardio Fun: Participate in all different types of health and fitness activities. Includes gym and pool time at Saint Peter’s University. Field Trip Thursdays Rising Leaders will be taking fun field trips* on June 25, July 2, July 9 and July 16 *to be determined Schedule Note: Thursday, July 23 11:30 a.m. Dismissal and no After Care Includes: registration fee, field trips, t-shirt, pizza & ice cream party on last day.
