VACANCY
Quality Officer
Location: Husab Mine, Swakopmund
Reports to the Manager: IMS-Q
MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB:
Execute, direct, co-ordination and maintenance of comprehensive and integrated management IMS-Quality system to meet the
business strategy of the Company. This is a support function margining IMS and Quality implementation and is assisting in
continuous improvement, efficiency and effectiveness of the integrated management systems (IMS) and ensuring that all
statutory and regulatory requirements are met.
Key Performance Areas:









Assist in creating, implementing, and managing company quality control processes
Assist in contacting Quality Audits, Inspections, management of program effectiveness and initiation of follow-up action
Analyzing business needs and areas for improvement in Quality
Provide support for internal Quality processes and report on quality assurance
Initial scrutiny of documentation to ensure that it meets basic criteria
Liaise with Integrated Management System Representatives for Quality integration
Own Professional development and growth.
Co-worker effectiveness in terms of professional relations.
Mine Safety, Health, Environmental, Radiation and Quality effectiveness.
Requirements and experience:







Diploma or similar qualification in Quality Management Systems (QMS).
Solid knowledge in ISO 9001, 14001 and OHSAS 18001 management systems and standards.
Quality certificate
QMS internal auditing course certificate
Valid Code 08 driver’s license coupled.
3 years’ experience in mining health, safety, environment and quality.
3 years’ experience in IMS or Quality preparation and implementation.
