UPCOMING MANADATORY FUNDRIASERS
• Lift-A-Thon
• Bulldog Cards
• Two-Way Letter
Great opportunities to win big prizes for meeting and exceeding fundraising amounts.
Prize sheets & Instructions for each event
will be distributed to players prior to each fundraiser.
• LIFT-A-THON--- Fundraising Dates March 16th-April 24th. Lift-a-thon Event Friday April 24th @ 6:00 pm.
Each player will be responsible for raising $350. Money will be due April 23rd--Thursday at practice. IT IS
RECOMMENDED THAT PARENTS WRITE ONE CHECK FOR WHAT THE PLAYER RAISED, SO
THAT LARGE SUMS OR MONEY DON’T HAVE TO BE CARRIED TO SCHOOL TO BE TURNED
IN.
• The TDC has partnered with Delta Community Credit Union again this year for the Lift-a-thon. This
means that Players will have the opportunity again to raise money for Children’s Miracle Network. Proceeds from money raised will be donated to CMN, and Delta Community will match that money to the
Touchdown Club. This means if your neighbor sponsors you, he is giving a charitable, tax-deductible donation, and both organizations will benefit from it. CMN is a great cause and the money directly benefits sick
children in our own community, and makes it very easy for the players to collect the money. In the past
Five years the team has raised $125 K for CMN and the TDC.
Proceeds from the Lift-a-thon help provide equipment and uniforms for the team.
• BULLDOG CARDS-- June 17th -July 19th . Cards will be handed out on Wednesday June 17th. All players
are required to sell 15 cards @ $20 each, total $300. Minimum $300 per player, is required, details regarding how the fundraiser will be handled this year as it pretains to securing the fees for the cards will
be announced as we roll out the cards in June. Incentives will be awarded for top fundraisers, Bulldog
Card Prize sheet will be given to players along with cards in June. Players can sell additional bulldog cards
throughout the summer if they want to earn top prizes, however, they must turn in the minimum $300
by the due date. The bulldog card fundraiser specifically helps provide funding for team pre-game meals
Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays for 20+ weeks.
• TWO-WAY LETTER--- Each family is required to enter 15 email addresses. An email will be sent from Coach
Sphire in September, requesting email addresses be entered. Each family will have that week to enter their
email addresses. All instructions will be included in the email. Players are expected to enter 15 qualified
email addresses (email addresses for their teammates and friends are not considered qualified addresses).
That’s it. The TDC will do the rest.
The two-way letter is very important fundraiser and helps raise the additional money needed for buses, food, travel, etc during the season and playoffs.
Where and What is the RED BOX? The Red Box is located right inside the doors on the right wall of the
weight room. It is directly across from Coach Sphire’s office. The box is secure and only the TDC treasurer
has access to the box. Payments and information put in the box are secure and the best way to get information to the Touchdown Club Board.
What is a Grade Rep? Your grade rep is not a team mom. All a grade rep does is get
information out to each grade level when the TDC has information that just needs to go to one group.
Otherwise, the only information you will receive will come through your son.
What is the Fieldhouse? Fieldhouse is where the players lift weight, and prepare for practices and games. The
fieldhouse is for Players and Coaches Only, so please refrain from entering any part of the building. Please also
refrain from waiting for the coaches outside of the fieldhouse. The coaches work long days and are ready to go
home to their families when they walk outside to leave. If you have an issue that requires a coach, your player
should talk to the coach about whether a meeting is warranted with the parents. All communication should be
between coach and player. If your son is sick, he needs to be the one to text his coach to let him know. it is very
important that the player be the one to establish communication with his position coach and not the parent. At
no time are parents allowed on the sidelines or game field during games. The Field is for players & coaches and
Stands are for the Fans!
DO NOT contact the Coaching Staff for information. The coaches will send information home
through the players. The boys are responsible for delivering most of the information. Grade Reps are a great
place to start if you have a question, but only after you have asked your son, because 9 times out of 10 your
player will know the answer better than the grade rep.
I don’t have $695 right now for the player participation fee, what are my options? Each player
family needs to be prepared to write a check or register with a credit card for the $695 fee by April 15TH . If
you do not have the $695 at the time, you can choose option #3 described on payment page, which allows
you to put a credit card on file that will be charge in 3 different months for $265 month each. Everyone has
the opportunity to get every penny of the money back by selling sponsorship ads through July 25. Every ad
turned in will be reimbursed to you at a 50/50 split. For example, If you chose option 3 and paid $795 and you
turn in a $1000 ad, we will cut you a check for $500. Any money raised over and above the amount needed
for a full refund of monies paid will not be transferable or reimbursable for any reason.
Why am I not receiving emails or information from the TDC?
If you are not receiving email information fro the TDC and have registered online, please contact your grade
rep to make sure she has correct contact information. Please note that no emails typically go out during summer. So silence doesn’t mean you are missing something. We may not be sending anything to date (majority
of emails go out Sept-Nov).
How do I get involved by volunteering my time? It takes an army to run a Top Notch Football program.
It may seem like everything is being taken care of and there is nothing left to do, but you couldn’t be more
wrong. We can always use your help. If you want to help and don’t know where your talents would best be
used, please contact Maria Morris [email protected]. We will find a place for you to be a part of this
amazing program.
I want to get involved with the Mom’s and help decorate the lockers, what do I do? All moms
can participate in locker decorations. All you have to do is show up. Locker rooms are decorated for
Freshman and JV teams on Wednesdays every game week @ 6:30. Varsity Locker room is decorated each
game week on Thursday’s @ 6:30. You don’t have to be there every week to help. You can come as you are
able and participate. Locker Mom’s in charge, will send out email before season asking all mom’s to
participate and make posters for thier sons. Be on the lookout for the email and help as your time permits.
Who do I contact if I have questions about sponsorships? Kim Jenkins [email protected]
Families are responsible for getting sponsor form, payment and art turned in to get credit for their sponsorship. If you
have any questions about sponsors, turning in art- work or the kind of files that are needed from your sponsor email Kim.

Three Easy Steps for Selling Sponsorships:
1) Visit local businesses with your player. Be Creative in the places you visit. Don’t
pre-judge, ask and let them tell you no. Ask them to support our program and tell them
about the number of fans we have at games and the TV exposure North will be
receiving this season.
2) Leave a Sponsor Flyer with them to look at—Make sure your players name is on the
form. Sponsor forms will be available in Coach Sphire’s office for players to pick up.
3) Follow-up and ask if you can count on them for their support. Following up is the
number one reason that players get sponsorships. Sponsors will not typically mail in a
sponsor form and check without follow-up visits and calls. Be persistent in your followthrough. Don’t limit yourself to Suwanee. We get sponsors from Buford, Cumming,
Duluth, Johns Creek, etc. Anyone is a candidate to be a sponsor with the number of
televised games we will have this season and the 6-8K fans that attend each game.
All Sponsorships Due no later than July 25th.
• All Sponsorships payments and/or Art turned in must be accompanied by a
sponsorship form. Ads will not be accepted without paperwork
DO NOT CONTACT LIST:
DO NOT CONTACT SPONSORS FROM THE DO NOT CONTACT LIST.
THESE SPONSORSHIPS IF TURNED IN
WILL NOT BE APPLIED TO ANY PLAYER ACCOUNTS.
The following is a list of Sponsors that are loyal to our fund raising efforts and donate money to all groups
throughout North Gwinnett High School and have been put on the Do Not Contact List by the School.
PLEASE do not contact these sponsors for sponsorship, they have asked to work with the School

NEW SPONSOR FORM: 2015 SPONSOR FORMS WILL BE AVAILABLE
FOR THE PLAYERS IN COACH SPHIRE ‘S OFFICE
SPONSORSHIP INSTRUCTION SHEET
Sponsorship from our community is a very large part of how we achieve the goals of supporting our
athletes and coaching staff with all of their needs. It is thus very important that we represent those
sponsors in the most professional manner. With your help in being thorough we will once again be
able to produce the highest quality Friday Night Football Program seen in Gwinnett County!
Please read through the following steps on how to submit a sponsorship to the
Touchdown Club.
It is the responsibility of each family that sells a sponsorship to turn in Sponsor Form, AD or Banner
Logo for the Sponsorship, and full payment.
1. DEADLINE FOR ART SUBMITTAL - ALL SPONSORSHIP FORMS & ADS WILL BE
ACCEPTED UNTIL JULY 25, 2015. No ads will be accepted after that date with out approval.
Contact Kim Jenkins at [email protected] for approval to turn in late ads.
2. SPONSOR FORM: Assure that all information on the form is filled out completely—Please
leave no blank lines. All forms must include sponsor name, level, email, contact name, phone
number, and player name and phone number. Additional forms can be downloaded from the
website under the sponsor tab.
3. ADS: Getting the sponsorship and payment, is not the end of the sale. The ad has to be
received from the seller from the sponsor and emailed to the program staff. Please follow up
with your sponsor and make sure they have emailed the ad prior to the deadline. The Art
Specification sheet for all ad sizes and what is needed for each sponsor level can be found on
the website www.ngfootball.org under SPONSOR tab. Business cards should be scanned and
emailed. Ask business for completed ads, 99% of them advertise and have one. If ad is not
available, the program staff can help with one. However, the business needs to know, we are
volunteers and not professional art staff, and NO PROOF will be sent. No refunds will be
given to sponsors for ads completed by the program staff. The best way to insure the ad is
exactly what they want is to turn in a completed ad.
4. PAYMENT: Payment can be made by check or credit card. Sponsorships can be purchased
with credit card on the website www.ngfootball.org under the SPONSOR tab. If a sponsor
purchases from the website, a sponsorship form still needs to be filled out and turned in for
credit to be given to the correct family who sold the sponsorship.
No credit will be given this year for a sponsorship until AD has been turned
in to the program staff. ART DEADLINE JULY 25, 2015.
NO CREDIT WILL BE GIVEN FOR SPONSORSHIPS UNTIL
ALL 3 OF THESE ITEMS HAVE BEEN TURNED IN:
1) COMPLETED SPONSORSHIP FORM
2) ART FOR SPONSORSHIP
3)FULL PAYMENT
