FOREWORD
When the author of this book approached me to
write this Foreword, I politely declined to do so
initially because I edited this work. I felt at that
time that any good thing I would say about this
anthology of poems might be misconstrued to be
a self-praise and a demonstration of scholarly
modesty and objectivity on my part. I was
unable to convince him to accept what I felt was
a very good reasoning for wishing to be spared
the tedious and herculean task of writing a
Foreword to a book I had directly or indirectly
helped to bring into existence.
However, under pressure, I granted his request
because I saw in him a burning desire to make a
mark in a literary circles, and this collection of
poems could kick-start it. My remarks here
represent my dispassionate, honest and
objective assessment of the spirit, substance and
significance of the work.
The poems in this anthology by a budding poet
traverse many facets of life; they depict his
passion for nature and environment as well as
some metaphysical issues about life and death
generally. Some of the poems capture vividly
man's fear of the unknown shrouded in the
shadow of uncertainty that beclouds today: the
window of tomorrow, which may unveil the
unexpected.
3
The young poet bemoans environmental
degradation in various forms, which compels the
earth to continually cry against further havoc on
its psyche. Some of the poems are products of
personal experiences, other have relevance for
social and interpersonal relationships, which
would be beneficial to those who would find
time to avidly read and ponder over the rich
contents of this book. I therefore strongly and
enthusiastically recommend this product of
inspiration to all who can read and appreciate
this intellectual property which calls for an
ethical rebirth in all facets of our social life.

PREFACE
The earth cries is an all time inspirational book
that contains collection of short poems which
cuts across all aspects of life and nature. With
everything therein, the earth presents to its
inhabitant everyday the opportunities to live a
better and productive life, but in quest of
knowledge, man have created more problem
than he can handle.
Most of human struggle, ignorance,
negligence, greed or hatred for one another hurts
and bereave the earth in addition to man's
unending procrastination of highly exaggerated
better tomorrow which may result into shattered
dreams, frustration or a miss in one's true
identity if not attained.
However, while man struggles by the day and
even losses his sleep at night to fix the world's
puzzle for a survival, time takes flight yet the
faithfulness of Almighty Creator remains
unyielding and those who cling to it through
work attains destiny as victors before saying
goodbye to the world in death.
To show love to others is to be loved as
well, therefore don't conceal the past wrongs
over the bliss of peaceful coexistence because
we indeed need each other to console and heal
the earth so let us retrace our paths and find our
placement in it, for indeed the earth cries.

INTRODUCTION
Too many are her issues of concern,
Aloud she groans and cries.
Pleases show me some care and love,
And the burden we'll bear and share.
The wailing of mother-earth in thunder storm,
Its values stray to the underworld,
Her grumbles as the sky rumble,
Her tears visible in the rain,
The mountains made plain,
The vegetation journey to no return,
The springs are beheld no more,
Yet the seas wander beyond banks.
It's indeed a world of puzzle,
As human resolves tends to cause more trouble,
So great is the love we preach,
Much more than the intent and its act practiced.
Lay aside the cankers of yesterday,
Pressing onward to maximizing today,
Hang on to the dreams of better tomorrow,
For great is the bliss that follows.
Victory is for them that dares something,
Whose scopes are beyond the fool's paradise,
The future belongs to them that are faithful to
their dreams,
Doing all they can all day long.

“ Change your life today, don't gamble
on the future, act now without delay”.
Simone de Beauvoir.
Behold a new day
Dull and moody born
What will this day begat?
Such queries the heart.
A door from the past
The day long awaited
Yeah! Today is the day
The window into morrow.
Do I wait for another?
Walking in the shadow of uncertainty
11
12
The faith to begin the day
Lost to the fear of unknown.
Behold this day strained my faith
The day I longed for, tho never fainted
Be it rainy or sunny
I will maximize today
For never shall there be another today.
“Tomorrow has two handles, We can
take hold of it with the handle of
anxiety or the handle of faith”. Henry
“Most of our lives are crucified between
two thieves, yesterday and tomorrow.
We never live today. But the time to live
is now, It is today.” W. Oscar
Thompson.
Tomorrow is a dream day
Though I fear the unknown
Always call heavenly May-day
To unravel the unshown.
A sure thing about tomorrow is
uncertainty
Optimist will presume
It will be of prosperous
Yet the pessimist will assume that
Tomorrow may unveil another
calamity.
13
14
Who can tell tomorrow?
The seers even fail,
Who then do I follow?
That evil do not prevail.
Tomorrow never dies
Till the end of time
Above all
Tomorrow lies with God.
“I love to think of nature as an unlimited
broadcasting station, through which God
speaks to us every hour, if we will only
tune in”. George W. Carver.
“Learn from yesterday, live for today, hope
for tomorrow. The important thing is not to
stop questioning”. Albert Einstein.
From the mountains of terror
To the valley of death
Instantaneous awakening of horror
A quake in the pit of endless depth.
The whirlwind of mischief
When the earth fever in hurricane
From her eyes flowed stormy rain
And its treasures swept off her
shoulders.
15
16
In the face of the great fall
I stood by the truth I know
Lost were the beauty of waterfall
For a witness came the volcano.
Amidst these much ado
She cried not yet blood
Visible were the scars of tornado
The crust swallowed in wandering
flood.
The rumour yet heard of land slide
Beside the weather forecast for sand
storm
The earth is shaken in every gripping
side
Dear heaven! Let there be a reform.
“Bad things do happen in the world,
like war, natural disaster and disease.
But out of these arises stories of
ordinary people doing extraordinary
things”. Daryn Kagan.
17
“Hold fast to dreams for if dreams die
life is a broken-winged bird that cannot
fly”. Langston Hughes.
I have a dream, I know what it means.
Although too old that it seems odd
My dreams are too common that I can't even
ask for more
It speaks eloquently of me
Its full attainment is all I seek.
I dreamt to be a champion
Through series of practices
Never to be moved by things I see
And be resolved and purge of all
pretences
My future is obtainable in context.
18
Yes, I shall fight
To plead my plight in good faith with great
delight
In my insight,
I will bravely contend the numerous odds
Standing tall and strong till the end,
Indeed I am a champion.
My dream to be a doctor
Should be refined in a medical school
Acting according to mind-set of seniors
Trained to handle surgical sets
Or waste the lives I wish to save
A mentor and indeed a doctor.
My dream to save the world
Is in my potent word
Never will I fight my course with sword
To shed innocent human blood.
Yes! I have a dream
I stand to keep it real
Else it becomes an illusion
And never a fulfilled reality.
“The future belongs to those who believe in the beauty of
their dreams”. Eleanor Roosevelt
19
“Absence is to love as wind is to fire; it
extinguishes the small and kindles the
great”. Roger de Bussy-Rabutin
The days we spent together
Made us more stronger
Cuddling each other's shoulders
In caress and romance.
As delightful as wine
Sweet sensation in my spine
As deep as the depth beneath
Yet as strong as death.
Is our love for one another.
As high as the heights above
We rode on the coast of heavens above
20
Drowned in endless romance
Such love that knows no bounds.
But the time came to separate
As I leave, I do with remorse
Hoping that time would reunite us
In any part of the cosmos.
Love from a distance
Doesn't create much the needed chance
The wind of imbalance
Has beaten us on every side
Shall we ever withstand it?
“In true love, the smallest distance is
too great, and the greatest distance can
be bridged”. Michel de Montaigne.
“Judgments prevent us from seeing the
good that lies beyond appearances”
Wayne Dyer
The Gypsy I met in a wander-land
The stranger I feared to know
A sojourner to own dreamland
The child of a pregnant day is certainly Mr.
Unknown.
The vault between life and death is breached
Lo and behold! A gruesome sight of a
monster
Oh heaven! We must have incurred your
wrath
To merit this sudden visit of an escapee
from the underworld
Blood sucking demon with hatred for human
race.
21
22
Frayed in awe my spirit left me
Faced with a creature of an abysmal nature
His voice muttered a pacified tone
Ah! can a good heart be found in this
monstrous creature?
The look on his face betrayed his true nature
Outwardness should not be factor to judge
genuine individuality
For I found in this monster the finest heart
that ever lived
But before I knew it, I had missed his true
identity
Oh, what a loss!
“All discomfort comes from suppressing
your true identity”. Bryant H. McGill
“Don't try to be like me, try to be like
yourself. Try to be very good at being
yourself”. Josh Groban.
We are made differently
We can never be the same
I believe in predestination
A key to ultimate destination.
The world in totality is not mine
Then, what is mine?
The bulk of time I don't have
So, who am I.
I die a thousand times at night to know,
23
24
I resurrect a thousand times by day to show
Others that I am someone,
But which is that one.
I fear to fail those that look up to me
I wish not to deviate from whom I ought to
be
But if I do fail
Surely I will rise again
Until I find out who I am.
“We want to answer this classical
question. Who am I? So I think that
most of our works are for art, or
whatever we do, including science or
religion, tries to answer that
Squestion”. Paulo Coelho
25
Your
Light
Is
Come
“Bid, then the tender light of faith to
shine by which alone the mortal heart is
led unto the thinking of the thought
divine”. George Santayana
Though I couldn't see
Groping in the dark and tracing things I
could feel,
Then I felt the switch and hit
The light illuminated the room and then my
sight,
It felt good and gladdened my heart
Then I imagined on this single act
Of those that for long have lost their sight
Or them that never knew the feeling of light,
26
If this single act brought me much delight
Then the sightless man must have suffered
much in his plight.
How would one feel to be blind?
Guided and seeing alone by one's mind
Or led by other hands
In great dangers you are left behind.
How would one really feel to be blind?
Veiled by shackles of ignorance
Where living is made less relevant
By self or misguided advance,
'.....Arise, shine for your light is come'.
“Beset by a difficult problem? Now is
your chance to shine. Pick yourself up,
get to work and get triumphantly
through it”. Ralph Marston.
GOODBYE
“There's no love without tears, there's
no happiness without sacrifice, and
there's no forever without goodbye.”
Marquesia White
My wishes are pure,
My prayers are sure.
My dreams are good,
As refined as gold.
My wish for a good bye
I just want to say bye-by
But will you be gone forever
Or never to see me ever.
Goodbye! better wish
Such that can make the soul languish
27
28
When else shall I see you again?
Such thoughts can cause pains.
Just a word and you are gone
This wish hurts like the powder in gun,
Will you still go away
Or a little more time to stay?
I wish this moment passes by
Just as we are standing by
Please endeavor to come by
Even as it hurts, don't say goodbye.
“Goodbyes are not forever, are not the
end. It simply means I'll miss you
until we meet again.”Brittney
“Parting is such sweet sorrow that I shall
say good night till it be morrow”.
Shakespeare
Fascinating voice of the nightingale
Pierces the blue and pale sky
Humming birds sing below the clouds,
To humour the heartless king.
It calls for a million fancy song
It certainly meant to do no wrong
As soft and gentle it walks and flutter
Love is not a thing of blather.
A trip to cloud nine in lyrics
Affectionate darts that strikes like

magic
Love do know the accent of great Hung
Kung
It finds a fertile heart in tho a busy throng.
Sweet as wine! Love is strong
The universe dances its tune and song
Its success is a scheme of trust and gain
When it fails! Love is pain.
“And ever has it been known that love
knows not its own depth until the hour of
separation”. Khalil Gibran
“Life is a gift, and it offers us the
privilege, opportunity, and
responsibility to give something back by
becoming more”. Tony Robbins
Treasures abide beneath the earth
Pleasure abounds above the earth
Troubled mother-earth is ever betwixt
Forever it is to all a twist.
Life is such an unending voyage
A tale by a man of renowned age
I've crossed the troubled Island
Yet the shores aren't so good a land.
Live life as tho a privilege
With time it diminishes like a mirage
The lust for treasure is a drive to doom
Yet a diligent work for pleasure trails boom.

Divinely endowed I am
Living above all doubts
The wish of the pure in heart
Makes me fly without wings.
“Cry, forgive, learn and move on. Let
your tears water the seeds of your future
happiness”. Steve Maraboli
Divinely endowed I am
Potential engagement I need
The act of sowing my seed
Then shall I expect the yield.
Divinely endowed I am
When I bring forth my seed
On it will many feed
Green is the vine
My life is the seed.
“The smallest seed of faith is better
than the largest fruit of happiness”.
Henry D. Thoreau
Divinely endowed I am
The seed in me needs activation
Embodied mine
Just a little more cultivation.
Divinely endowed I am,
Who can believe in me?
I'm ready to germinate
And with time expect the fruits.
33
34
And all folks turned foe
My love promises shall be no woe.
Ghost
Love
“True love is like ghosts, which
everybody talks about and few have
seen”. La Rochefoucauld.
For all the love we shared
None is left nor spared
For all the acclaimed care
All that remains is just scar.
I will stay for everlasting
Loving you as my everything
Our future lies in this good starting
Our love will surely know no bounds
Forever it will abound.
Were are all the promises?
What about the kisses
You call it 'a little slow-show'
Because everything comes and goes
It's just a ghost love.
In emptiness I reminisce
All the empty promises
Fantasies of old time kisses
Recounting all that I missed.
Let the lands turn snow
And the skies go below
Even if the wind ceases to blow
35
To be able to say how much you love is
to love but little”. Petrarch.
36
I had all the chances
At the first instance
To lead my life up-right
As a good course from birth
Oh! God, it's too late to cry.
“I've let a lot of chances pass me by, sometimes I
feared rejection or I couldn't tell them how I truly
felt. But it's too late now.... I'm living in the past
full of regrets...”.Mahmoud El Hallab.
Too late to cry
Too early to die
Tears drip down my eyes
My life melt like an ice
The Lord laid in my hand
But it slip off the ground
Oh! Now, it's too late to cry.
I misused the good scope
Traded away my hope
For the lust of flesh
I'm caught up in mesh
Oh! No, it's too late to cry.
There's no need to cry
I've lived on the sly
Sometimes I still ask why
Even tho no reply
But now, oh! My life in my eyes.
I lived my life in pride
Soaked my hands in crime
Now it's time to pay
For all the lives I slay
Oh! No, it's too late to cry.
37
38
It's too late to retry
Now my miseries lie
I missed all life spice
In the wink of an eyes
If I could get just a slice
Then I will live to be nice
But now as I die
Sorry dear, it's just too late to cry.
“The bitterest tears shed over graves are
for the word left unsaid and deeds left
undone”. Harriet B. Stowe
“Courage is not the absence of fear, but
rather the judgment that something else
is more important than fear”. James
H. Neil
From the sky far above
Shine the light on me
Yes! The land is green
Oh! Let it rain again on me.
Should I wallow in wants?
Must I die in needs
As little as the ants
God supplies their needs.
Planted in me is a seed
To make the earth blossom
Placed on me is a seal
I can enlarge my bosom.
39
40
I have a divine nature
I am incredible
Made in God's nature
I can achieve the impossible.
My life is a seed
Many may not see
But when I succeed
Lots will die of greed
Until then, wait and see.
“Tomorrow is promised to no one”.
Clint Eastwood.
“Every heart that has beat strongly &
cheerfully has left a hopeful impulse
behind it in the world and bettered the
tradition of mankind”. Robert L.
Stevenson
Tomorrow will be better
Then will I make history
Yes indeed tomorrow will be better
Even tho it remains a mystery.
Mystery I wish to know
To fast track my success
Beyond limits of mortals
To the region of the unknown
The might of immortals.
Tell me the unknown of tomorrow
Let me mend my way
41
42
Standing aloof from terrors
Or tell it to the canter
I'm already in disaster.
I fear unknown of tomorrow
Oh! Little still voice
I heard it was told
But even when foreseen
Tomorrow remains a mystery.

He marches direct to the illimitable

Life of bliss
Life of peace
To succeed at ease
And feel appeased
That's all we seek
The days are hard
Men are sad
The times are bad
And what do we do?
The gods are wise
Life is of prizes

If tried otherwise
Cost is the price

Life of bliss
Life of peace
To succeed at ease
Set the peace
And be at peace
That comes from God.

Trailing through the tough and the rough.

Many a billion gruesome fall
Nights of fury and woeful cry
Never an awful solution at all.

My baby, my buddy.
The joy of my longevity on earth
My wealth, my health
The reason I toil and strive
My life, my pride.
Heavens ordained the day I had you
My flavour, my treasure.
The earth acknowledged your stature
My nature, my future.
Dearie, never will I regret
The inequality of opportunity in
having you
My baby, my buddy, my destiny.

At your voice angels tremble
In your tears the heavens rumble
Your heart forgives its offender
Your touch is soft and tender.
Let no stranger cross our path
The storms of life wouldn’t keep us apart

Or leave me and I die.

I'll write your name on precious stone
Telling the world you're my own
The days of tears are gone
Let me love you like no one have done.
The blind sees your beauty
Of this love, dear! I'm guilty
You worth more than priceless jewel
In your bosom I long to dwell.

Your undying love is here to stay
Your presence brings delight
Your absence breaks our heart

Alone in lonely night
The feeble twilight
Helpless in the dark
Sojourners returned back.
The birds off to nest
Bidders closing stock
The night is but for rest
Yet in dark evils lurk.
Oh little stars
That needs the night to glow
Dear brother moon
Please! meet me by the bed.

CHILD
OF
NECESSITY
“Never make excuses, your friends don't need them,
and your foes won't believe them”. John Wooden
I wasn't the architect of my life style
I was bred to be hostile
My destiny became sessile
Yet the land remained fertile
Indeed, this is fatal.
I am that child of necessity
I am known in every city
Whether in life or in death
For life spent on earth
I remain questionable
To whom I am answerable, GOD.
“He that is good in making excuses is seldom
good for anything else”. Benjamin Franklin.
I was born in an urban, pretty God-forsaken
city,
Raised in death- striking difficulty
Left in shamble and abject needy
A child of necessity,
Oh God, What a pity!
I was made to know poverty,
So I had to live a nonentity
Being faked off reality
I never believed my ability
Hm! What an obscurity.

PRIMA
FACIE
(LOVE

SIGHT)
The magic of first love is the ignorance that
it can never end”. Disraeli
Oh! Mother earth

My tales and saga
It's prima facie.
“Love, free as air at sight of human ties,
Spreads his light wings, and in a moment
flies.”
- Alexander Pope
Like the fountain of life
Flowing without reserve
Like the oceans wide
Running and never go dry
The love I first found
Never will there be its kind.
The caress of the goddess
Quells the hot vent
The rhythms in comet
The joy of astronaut
Take me to zenith
Love is priceless.

VAIN
WORLD
“The world is a dangerous place to live; not because
of the people who are evil, but because of the people
who don't do anything about it”. Albert Einstein.
Save the whole world
If you can I pray you
But if feel subdued
Save them that are in the world
For indeed the world is vanity.
The world is vanity
The Holy book said
In all strife and strain
Vanity upon vanity it said
Yet in all, this world is vanity.
“An eye for an eye only ends up making the
whole world blind”. Mahatma Gandhi.
Who cares and who shares
My pains or my gain?
Of my pains no one cares,
The care is to share my gains
Oh heavens! This world is vanity.
The world is selfish
I heard in mum's lullabies
But son, don't be foolish
Don't, you aren't like other babies
Tho I know the world is devilish.

LIFE
“For in every adult there dwells the child

adult that will be”. John Connolly
Yelp yawp yell
Eighteen is peak of ergo
All bounds loose like hell
But twenty five is fret and worry.
Tic tac it's thirty

Body and soul are thirsty
Thirty five is on the go.
Yell, yak, it's forty
What then must I do?
It's either fine or faulty
Time is now overdue.
Yip yell yan

The journey just began
Keep it not awry.
“Life is one big transition”. Willie Stargell
Yowl yike yan
Every slight is sorry
Such welcome of innocency
Not a thing to worry.
Now baby is ten
Crave to know everything
Yak, spank, now and then
Oh God! I fear this teen.

Abracadabra as the witches gainsay
When individuals fall cheap to heresy and
hearsay
Toy is the need to kneel and pray
All vain strife is clay to clay.
“Infinite striving to be the best is man's
duty; it is its own reward, everything else is
in God's hand” Mahatma Gandhi
Multiple ounce of barricades to nature in
diverse human foray
Welcome to universe's greatest dismay
The foundation of heaven is already in
disarray
All vain strive is clay to clay.
Enough for a day, painstaking relay
Yet the ultimate dilemma is to face a new
day
Destination spree, life is forced to stray
So all vain strife is clay to clay.
“Tell me, ye that strive in vain to cramp
and dwarf the soul, wherefore should it
cease to be and when shall essence die”.
Martin Farquhar
For the desires of man to come to play
They fade away like smoke and so his
wishes
He forbids to reckon with some delay in
destiny
Nevertheless, all vain strive is clay to clay.

July wouldn't lie
Saying August is not for us.
September forget me not
You sleepers wake from slumber.
“Where ever you go, no matter what the
weather, always bring your own sunshine”.
Anthony J. D'Angelo.
October, November, still the embers
Know you the jeepers creepers?
A little sleep, a little slumber
Arise, work you old fool.
“Any fool can criticize, condemn and complain
and most fools do:. Benjamin Franklin
Summer is disaster
December is almost as bad
January, Febuary are slow starters
You Sleeper leave your bed.
Winter is deadening
March is but for Lent
May-day is ending
Oh fool save your breathe.
The arrival of cockoo
Hear the June tune
April is for all fools
Arise you old fool.

To each course in life, I'm limited
But to all ends, I'm unlimited
Tick-tock sound
Use me while I abound
I am the time.
“Time is too slow for those who wait, too swift
for those who fear, too long for those who grieve,
too short for those who rejoice, but for those who
love, time is eternity”. Henry Van Dyke
Lying between lines
I am always there
Never wait for anyone
But available to everyone.
Work with me with care
Then you'll have me to share
Don't give me to play
Or for nix while me away.

The wind of pleasantry from the gardens of
rose
A tranquility doubt and fear cannot oppose
Such gentle feeling as with the dove
Indeed is love a gift from heaven above.
LOVE
“love is life, and if you miss love, you miss
life”. Leo Busaglia
“At the torch of love everyone becomes a
poet”. Plato
The day is with no cloud
The birds could be heard singing aloud
The aura of love rules the sky
Travellers in space took a spy.
A tiny voice of an amorist that whispers in
silent
Surmounts a beloved soul in its full length
Such sweet rhythm devoid of instrumental
What a proof that Love is magical.
Reality is not just enough
Fantasy is better not turned-off
Let love agenda sail the high seas of ectasy
Hoping also on that yet to be seen.

Before the time began
Yesterday I was to be
Today I am
Tomorrow isn't sure
Now destiny calls.
“The mystery of human destiny is that we
are fated, but we have the freedom to fulfill
or not to fulfill our fate”. Clarice Lispector
Oh! I can see
Far - far celestial
My place is among the king
I owe no man a thing.
All the leaves are falling
From the Autum park
Destiny is calling
Let all ears hear.

THE
FAITHFULNESS
OF
GOD
Lift up thy hands in victory
The spirit of God has made us bold
It is to them that understand the mystery
Great is the faithfulness of God.
“God doesn't owe us anything, yet in His
grace He gives s everything”. Billy Graham
“Thinking faith thoughts, and
speaking faith words, will lead the heart out of
defeat and into victory”. Kenneth E. Hagin.
Costlier than the finest emerald gold
Killing every sorrow and mourning
Great is the faithfulness of God
Made anew every morning.
From the inevitable storms of life
To the heavenly proposed fountain of joy
The son of God has taken all the strife
And led down for all divine spoil.
Weeping may endure but for the night
Surely joy comes in the morning
Satan the adversary has lost the fight
Sing aloud the songs of testimony.

PUZZLE
“Nothing in the world is more dangerous
than sincere ignorance and conscientious
stupidity”. Martin Luther King, Jr.
Every new day reveals
Every tick in time reviews
About to act, please preview
Then in wisdom, do pursue.
It's not by struggle
Else you tear a muscle.
Just fix the puzzle
Once you're out of trouble.
“Change your thoughts and you change your
world”. Norman Vincent Peale.
The issues of life are broad,
Human understandings to them are odd.
The troubles of life are much,
We solve one yet create another as such.
Refrain
World of puzzle,
Filled with struggle,
The days are troubled,
Find your paddle.

TIME
“Time flies, but the memories collected along
the way can never be replaced”. Ashlev
Tisdale
When the journey began yesterday
We all looked forward to the last day.
To God the father of all we prayed
Oh creator let not our destinies suffer delay
Or by the wind be blown away.
Day run into days and nights into night
A thousand times we did faint
Yet tarried in faith.
Now the last days are here
Oh! What a joy to share
We overcame all constraints
And now it's our merited gain.
Indeed time do fly.
“Time waits for no one, you can use it
wisely or waste it, it's your choice”. Gee
Linder.
A thousand tears in the rain
We bore the stress and pain
Times went down the drain
Yet steadfast we remain.
Seas of endless depth
In our eyes were shadows of death.
77

EPITAPH
“Though lovers be lost, love shall not; and
death shall have no dominion”. Dylan
Thomas
We all live to die
But when and how we do not know.
As we see loved ones lie
Tears drip down our eyes.
The feelings of agony and anguish
Made our hearts more impoverished.
How easy the good ones perish
And the beauty of the world continually
deminish.
79
Memories too hard to fade
In pains we miss all the aid.
A thousand tears we shade
Yet, can't make up the lost.
Our souls in sorrow
We may not see beloved one tomorrow.
Like a canker of multiple bruises
This venomous vacuum spreads like it's a
cruise.
Against all odds
As the winds grow cold
Until we meet again
Beloved, REST IN PEACE.
“Death is no more than a turning of us over
from time to eternity”. William Penn.

IT’S ALL ABOUT
YOU
“U”
“Make the most of yourself, for that is all
there is of you”. Ralph Waldo Emerson
You are the one whom the world seek
You're the one whom I speak about
I am your preacher
With me are good tidings
Yet I remain your teacher
I've acquired new findings.
You are the desired seed
Indeed I proclaim your speed
In you the world shall thrive
Making headways in less strive
But first guide your life.
You are the change the world percieve
Only if you will believe
Within you are the keys
To quell turbulence of the sea
But then how far can you see.
“Your success depends mainly upon what
you think of yourself and whether you believe
in yourself”. William J. H. Boetcker
You are the one whom the world need
You are the one whom I speak about
I am your seeker
Who are the faithfuls?
I remain your keeper
Till you are successful.

ALL
“Everyday is God's day, but the very day
you accept God is your day”. Bishop David
Desires of ancient days
Conceived you Monday
I've dreamt of this day
When I will bear a son Sunday.
Brought heaven to earth last rainy Sabbath
day.
Next moon-day isn't holiday
Tho today is a Good Friday
Give a helping hand to my labour sister
Saturday
Here come my son Easter Sunday.
“It is your will that determines your way”.
Bishop D. Oyedepo
The snares of evil is of all day
Therefore will I not rest on Tuesday
Early will I set off for Wednessday
To tarry in faith with work everyday.
Gestation period is but for a numbered days
Thus will my help come someday
My supplications and prayers that sunny
Thursday

Many a woeful tale
Many a beautiful lie
Rhythms in decietful facial pale
Countless instincts of peevish cry.
“Love is like the truth, sometimes it
prevails, sometimes it hurts”. Victor M.
Garcia jr.
In the peak of anger did I sleep
A rest in the middle of the sea
The golds and peddles off they slip
A grope of ecstasy.
A moment of tears in the rain
Never can cause sunshine
Learned to contain the pain
It's true; you're not mine.
“ The course of true love never did run
smooth”.W. Shakespeare
A course of love pursued
A future hope to secure
The lust of flesh eschewed
Yet the times went sour.
85
86
“If there exists no possibility of failure,
then victory is meaningless”. Robert H.
Schuller
The good, the bad, the ugly
The rogue, the ague, the vague
Such were the times
But we crossed the lines.
The quest, the stress, the press
The struggles, the troubles, the puzzles
Such as we saw
We triumphed over all.
Yesterday the journey began
Today we are all done
Aloud we sing, for all our fears are gone
We came, we saw, and we conquered.
87
“She's beautiful, and therefore to be wooed,
She is a woman, therefore to be won”
.William Shakespeare
Hey miss! Wait for a tease
I read about you in the news
Excuse me lady, don't refuse
Something is pinching in my shoes.
Hello dear! accept my style
I think I learnt to apply
Just a moment, then reply
Even the birds are saying hi.
Hey baby forgive my error
They already seem like horror
Such a lady of celestial nature
I don't really know if she likes my nature.
88
Not a lie, nor a cry
Such a lady of noble character
Not a sigh, dear! I'll try
Keep abreast with things that matter.
Oh my lady I seek your attention
And pray to show you real affection
My soul is sick of true companion
Let my feeling rule your opinion.
Just a smile, across the mile
The wounded hearts fall in place
Just a yes and nothing less
Then I'll raise you up higher.
“Who knew that the path to a woman's heart
was through the soul of an honest man?”
Melissa de la Cruz
“Our prime purpose in this life is to help
others. And if you can't help them, at least
don't hurt them”. Dalai Lama XIV.
You and I make the world
I alone can't hold the wall
Just as I need you to survive
So you need me to be alive.
I alone can't make a class
You alone can't make a mass
A common sense of amity
A true heart for humanity.
All we need is unity
To break the bonds of enmity
All we need is oneness
To get rid of the cold hands of loneliness.

Whether descendant of Isaac
Or the seed of Ishmael
Let the spirit of love expel all panic
And peace like a river swell.
Anger of the descendants of the woman
Upon the seeds of the serpent
Someone must indeed ring the bell
Lets bury the hatchet and pain.
Slander thy brothers no more
Uphold the beauty of diversity
Without you and I there might be no
humanity
Indeed we are the world.
“Even the smallest act of caring for another
person is like a drop of water, it will make
ripples throughout the entire pond...”. Jessy
& Bryan Matteo.
91
There's no love without tears, there's no
happiness without sacrifice, and there's no
forever without goodbye”. Marquesia White
Seasons come and go
Times fade away
Kings reign and fall
Nothing lasts forever.
A time indeed must come
When we must say good bye
Though sometime it hurts
As such parting is hard.
92
Just this word and we're parted
Only to be remembered by our acts
Indeed we might have well played our
parts
And now, it's time to trace another
path
Thus beloved, goodbye!!
