THANK YOU
It has been a great honour to be a part of the 4th annual Van Berkom-JMSB Small-Cap Case
Competition!
The competition was founded by Mr. Sebastian van Berkom, a respected small-cap
investment industry leader and dedicated alumnus of JMSB. We give our thanks to him for
the time he has committed to make this year’s competition successful and for inspiring us
with his vision.
The ongoing support of Van Berkom & Associates and the John Molson School of Business
(JMSB) in providing opportunities such as this case competition is tremendously important
and contributes to the creation of a balanced academic experience. Giving students the
chance to apply their skills and knowledge to real world business challenges is an invaluable
compliment to their in-class learning.
Our team would like to personally thank Reena Atanasiadis, VBCC’s Director and our key
advisor, for her guidance and support. She provided us with constant encouragement and
was always available to assist when we needed her. We would also like to thank Dr. Sandra
Betton, the MBA Program Director at the John Molson School of Business, and Dean
Steven Harvey, for their ongoing support of our team and the competition.
It is our hope that VBCC 2015 will bring lasting memories to all those involved. We are
delighted to host this unique event, and hope your experiences with the competition are as
rewarding as they have been for us!
Sincerly,
Reza Farahi, Danielle Ker, Bita Sehat, Carlos Vargas
