CONDITIONS OF ENTRY
1.
Competition and Promoter
1.1
By entering the “FOX Fans League” Game of Skill Competition
(Competition) and in consideration for the opportunity to participate in the
Competition, each entrant agrees to be bound by and observe these
Conditions of Entry. Information on how to enter and prize details form part of
these Conditions of Entry.
1.2
The promoter of the Competition is FOX SPORTS Australia Pty Limited ABN
16 065 445 418 of 4 Broadcast Way, Artarmon NSW 2064 (Promoter).
2.
Who may enter
2.1
Subject to paragraphs 2.2 and 2.3, entry into the Competition is open to all
permanent residents of Australia aged 13 years or over at the date of entry to
the Competition who have an active PlayStation Plus subscription and a FIFA
Ultimate Team Account.
2.2
Any entrant aged under 18 years must obtain consent from their
parent/guardian prior to entering the Competition.
2.3
The officers, management and employees (and immediate family members of
officers, management and employees) of the Promoter, Electronic Arts
Proprietary Limited (EA), Sony Computer Entertainment Australia Pty Ltd
(SCE), Football Federation Australia Limited (FFA), Scentre Group Limited
(Westfield) and their related corporations and associated agencies are not
eligible to enter the Competition.
2.4
Entrants are required to select a Westfield Qualifying Location (Location)
from the list of Locations set out in the table below in order to participate in an
EA Qualifying Tournament (Qualifying Tournament). Each entrant may only
select one Location in which to enter the Competition. During the Competition
Period (defined below), entrants may submit an unlimited number of entries
for the Location that they have selected, provided that each entry is unique.

Competition Period
3.1
The Competition commences at 12:00pm Australian Eastern Daylight Time
(AEDT) on 18 March 2015 and closes at 9:00am AEDT on 31 March 2015
(Competition Period).
3.2
Entries not received during the Competition Period or not completed in
accordance with these Conditions of Entry will not be eligible to win.
4.
How to enter
4.1
Eligible entrants must, during the Competition Period:
(a)
go to the Competition page on the FOX SPORTS website
(www.foxsports.com.au/foxfansleague);
(b)
select one Location using the voting buttons;
(c)
enter the details requested; and
(d)
tell us in 25 words or less, “What makes you Australia’s best EA
Sports FIFA 15 gamer?” (Entry Question).
4.2
To be eligible to win a prize, each entrant must be able to attend the Location
which they have nominated under paragraph 4.1(b) above in order to
participate in the applicable Qualifying Tournament.
5.
Prizes
5.1
Judging of all entries received for each Location during the Competition
Period will be conducted by the Promoter at 4 Broadcast Way, Artarmon
NSW 2064 on 31 March 2015.
Stage One - Qualifying Tournament
5.2
For each Location, the 42 entrants who submitted the most creative and
unique answer to the Entry Question during the Competition Period (as
judged by the Promoter in its sole discretion) in accordance with these
Conditions of Entry will win an invitation to participate in the Qualifying
Tournament at the Location which they selected.
5.3
The 42 entrants who are selected for each Qualifying tournament in
accordance with paragraph 5.2 above will be comprised of:
(a)
32 automatic qualifiers (Automatic Qualifier); and
(b)
10 reserve qualifiers (Reserve).
The 10 Reserves will be allocated a number from 33 – 42, according to their
answer to the Entry Question under paragraph 5.2 above. If an Automatic
Qualifier does not attend their Location to participate in the Qualifying
Tournament on the terms set out by EA (for any reason), then that Automatic
Qualifier will be replaced in the respective Qualifying Tournament at the
Location by the highest-ranked Reserve in attendance. Reserves
acknowledge that they may not be replaced into a Qualifying Tournament.
5.4
The prize winners will be notified by telephone and writing from 31 March
2015 and will be provided details about attendance requirements for the
Location that will be participating in the Qualifying Tournament.
5.5
For the avoidance of doubt, an entrant will be eligible to win one opportunity
to participate in a Qualifying Tournament during the Competition. If an entrant
has entered multiple answers to the Entry Question for their Location, only
the highest-ranked answer to the Entry Question will be considered.
5.6
Each Automatic Qualifier and Reserve (if applicable) must participate in the
Qualifying Tournament according to the EA Qualifying Tournament Game
Rules (Game Rules) set out in Annexure One to these Conditions of Entry.
The Game Rules are prepared by EA and the Promoter makes no
representations or warranty as to the suitability or accuracy of the Game
Rules. Without limiting paragraph 5.20 below, by participating in a Qualifying
Tournament, each prize winner must become acquainted with the Game
Rules and any other additional terms and conditions prior to participating in
the Qualifying Tournament and each prize winner is subject to additional
terms and conditions imposed by EA. Each prize winner must act in
accordance with EA’s directions, instructions and guidelines during the
Qualifying Tournament. Failure to act in accordance with EA’s directions,
instructions and guidelines in a Qualifying Tournament my result in the prize
winner’s disqualification from the Qualifying Tournament.
5.7
Without limiting paragraph 5.18 below, each prize winner participating in a
Qualifying Tournament is responsible for all expenses in these Conditions of
Entry in relation to participating in the Qualifying Tournament, including but
not limited to transport to and from the Location of the Qualifying
Tournament, accommodation, meals, drinks and all other ancillary costs.
Stage Two – FOX Fans League Final Tournament
5.8
For each Qualifying Tournament, the participant who wins the Qualifying
Tournament as judged by EA (a total of 9 Qualifying Winners), will win the
opportunity to participate in the FOX Fans League Final Tournament (Final)
at Federation Square, Melbourne on 29 April 2015.
5.9
Each Qualifying Winner will receive:
(a)
return economy airfares for the Qualifying Winner (and one
parent/legal guardian if the Qualifying Winner is aged under 18 years)
from the Australian capital city nearest to the Qualifying Winner’s
place of residence to Melbourne, departing on 28 April 2015 and
returning on 30 April 2015, valued at a maximum of A$850;
(b)
return airport/hotel and hotel/Final transfers in Melbourne, valued at a
maximum of A$200; and
(c)
one night’s accommodation in a four star hotel in Melbourne for the
Qualifying Winner (and one parent/legal guardian if the Qualifying
Winner is aged under 18 years) on 30 April 2015, valued at a
maximum of A$300;
the total maximum value of the prize in this paragraph 5.9 is A$12,150.
5.10
Each Qualifying Winner must participate in the Final according to the Final
Game Rules (Final Rules). The Final Rules will be provided to the Qualifying
Winners after the Qualifying Tournament. The Final Rules will be prepared by
EA and the Promoter makes no representations or warranty as to the
suitability or accuracy of the Final Rules. Without limiting paragraph 5.20
below, by participating in the Final, each Qualifying Winner must become
acquainted with the Final Rules and any other additional terms and
conditions prior to participating in the Final and each prize winner is subject
to additional terms and conditions imposed by EA. Each prize winner must
act in accordance with EA’s directions, instructions and guidelines during the
Final. Failure to act in accordance with EA’s directions, instructions and
guidelines in the Final may result in the prize winner’s disqualification from
the Final.
FOX Fans League – Final Prize
5.11
The winner of the Final (Final Winner), as determined by the Promoter and
EA in their discretion, will win:
(a)
return economy class airfares for the Final Winner and one
companion from the capital city nearest to the prize winner’s place of
residence to the host city for the 2014/15 A-League Grand Final
(Match) on 17 May 2015, departing on 17 May 2015 and returning on
18 May 2015, valued at a maximum of A$1,700;
(b)
return airport/hotel and hotel/Match venue transfers, valued at a
maximum of A$200;
(c)
one night’s twin share accommodation in a four star hotel for the Final
Winner and one companion on 17 May 2015, valued at a maximum of
A$350;
(d)
two GA tickets to the Match, valued at A$400 in total;
(e)
a behind-the-scenes stadium tour of host stadium for the Match,
valued at a maximum of $A200;
(f)
one A-League club jersey signed by members of that A-League club’s
2014/15 squad, valued at a maximum of A$760; and
(g)
one PlayStaytion 4 20th Anniversary Edition console, including one
DUALSHOCK 4 Wireless Controller, Vertical Stand and PlayStation
Camera, valued at a maximum of A$728;
the total maximum value of the prize in this paragraph 5.11 is $4,338.
5.12
With regard to the prize in paragraphs 5.11(a) – (e) above, the Final Winner
acknowledges that, as at the commencement of the Competition Period, the
host city for the Match has not been confirmed by FFA. The Final Winner also
acknowledges that the prize in paragraph 5.11(f) above is subject to the
availability of players in the A-League squad which is selected by the prize
winner and that some members of the relevant A-League squad may not be
available to sign the jersey.
5.13
Without limiting paragraph 7 below, if the Final Winner is aged under 18
years, the prize under paragraph 5.11 above will be awarded to the Final
Winner’s parent or guardian on their behalf and the Final Winner must be
accompanied by a parent or guardian on the trip in paragraph 5.11 above.
For the avoidance of doubt, a parent or guardian will be counted as the Final
Winner’s companion.
Information for all prize winners
5.14
The maximum total prize value is A$16,488 (including GST).
5.15
Without limiting paragraph 10.3 below, acceptance of these Conditions of
Entry constitutes consent on the entrant’s (including a prize winner’s) part to
allow the use of the entrant’s name, image, voice and/or likeness by
Promoter via all media in perpetuity for production, editorial, advertising,
promotional, marketing and/or other purposes (including but not limited to,
appearing in productions relating to the FOX Fans League, football programs
and other productions that will be broadcast on FOX SPORTS and via FOX
SPORTS social media platforms) without further compensation except where
prohibited by law.
5.16
The Promoter accepts no responsibility for any variation in the value of a
prize. The prize is not transferable or exchangeable. The prize is not
redeemable for cash and must be taken as offered. If for any reason a prize
winner does not take an element of the prize during the stated period and on
the conditions stipulated by the Promoter or any third party (for example, if
the prize winner is not able to attend a trip in 5.9 or 5.11), that element of the
prize will be forfeited and cash will not be awarded in lieu of that element of
the prize. If the capital city nearest to the Qualifying Winner’s place of
residence is Melbourne, or if the capital city nearest to Final Winner’s place
of residence is the host city for the Match, then the economy class airfares
for that element of the prize will not form part of the prize.
5.17
In the event that any element of the prize is not available, the Promoter
reserves the right to substitute a prize of equal or greater value.
5.18
Each prize winner is responsible for all expenses not specified in these
Conditions of Entry, including but not limited to, transport to or from a
Location, spending money, any meals not stated above, drinks, insurance
(including medical, travel and health), expenses with regard to the documents
and requirements set out in paragraph 5.19 below, transport to and from the
Qualifying Winner’s and Final Winner’s nearest capital city, any
accommodation not stated above, any transfers not stated above, items of a
personal nature (including but not limited to in-room charges, tips, telephone
and laundry) and all other ancillary costs.
5.19
The Qualifying Winner and Final Winner (and their companion if applicable)
are responsible for travel documentation (including passports and visas) and
compliance with any health or other government requirements.
5.20
Each prize winner acknowledges that the prize is subject to additional terms
and conditions imposed by third party prize suppliers, including FFA, EA,
SCE, Westfield and any venue operators. The prize winner must become
acquainted with any such additional terms and conditions prior to taking the
prize. The prize winner and their companion must comply with all conditions,
supplemented by the conditions of entry imposed by Westfield and any
venue operators. The Promoter does not accept responsibility and is not
liable for any conditions imposed on the taking of the prize by any other third
party prize supplier, FFA, EA, SCE, Westfield and any venue operator or the
breach of those conditions by any person.
5.21
The Promoter will determine the travel dates in consultation with the prize
winners and the prize suppliers. Prize travel is subject to fare rules and other
conditions of carriage. Tickets will not be exchanged for another destination.
The prize winner (and their travel companion if applicable) cannot upgrade
any prize travel or prize accommodation using cash or frequent flyer points
and will not accrue frequent flyer points on any prize flights or with any prize
accommodation. The prize winner (and their travel companion if applicable)
must travel together on the same flights on all sectors and stay together at
the nominated hotel. Prize travel must be taken in order to coincide with the
prizes in paragraphs 5.9 and 5.11 above. Prize travel may not be changed by
the prize winner or travel companion under any circumstances. If the prize
winner cannot travel in accordance with these Conditions of Entry and on the
flights nominated by the Promoter, the prize will be forfeited. Bookings will be
made by the Promoter. Flight schedules and accommodation arrangements
are subject to change without notice.
6.
Unclaimed prizes
If a Qualifying Winner is not able to participate in the Final (for any reason),
this opportunity will be awarded to the runner-up of that Qualifying
Tournament (as determined by the Promoter and EA in their absolute
discretion).The unclaimed Qualifying Winner will be notified by telephone and
writing on 23 April 2015. If the Final Prize is unclaimed by 12:00pm AEST on
13 May 2015, it will be awarded to the runner-up of the Final (as determined
by the Promoter and EA in their absolute discretion). The unclaimed prize
winner will be notified by telephone and writing on 13 May 2015. The process
will be repeated every 48 hours until a prize winner is contacted and the prize
is claimed. The prize remains the property of the Promoter until it is collected
by the selected prize winner or unclaimed prize winner as the case may be.
7.
Information for Prize Winner
All entrants agree to provide the Promoter with identification and/or proof of
age if selected as a prize winner. If a prize winner is under the age of 18
years, the prize will be awarded to the prize winner’s parent/guardian on their
behalf. In accepting a prize, each prize winner agrees to the release set out
below. The form of identification and/or proof of age are at the discretion of
the Promoter.
8.
Limitation of Liability
8.1
Except for any liability that cannot by law be excluded (including as set out
under paragraph 8.3), the Promoter, its related corporations and associated
agencies (and any of their personnel) exclude all liability for any loss
(including any damage, claim, injury, cost or expense) which is suffered or
incurred by any entrant (including a prize winner and their companion) in
connection with the Competition or a prize, including, without limitation: (i)
any indirect, economic or consequential loss; (ii) any loss arising from the
negligence of the Promoter, its related corporations and associated agencies
(and any of their personnel); and (iii) any liability for personal injury or death.
8.2
No responsibility will be taken by the Promoter or its authorised agents for
lost, ineligible, misdirected or late entries due to technical reasons or any
other reason. Entries that are not genuine or are incomplete, late or in any
way fraudulent will be declared void.
8.3
Nothing in these Conditions of Entry limits, excludes or modifies, or purports
to limit, exclude or modify, the statutory implied guarantees/warranties as
provided under the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth) and the ASIC
Act 2001 (Cth), including the statutory consumer guarantees under the
Australian Consumer Law, or similar laws in the States and Territories of
Australia.
9.
Privacy
By entering the Competition, the entrant understands and agrees that the
Promoter may use and disclose the entrant’s personal information to a third
party to assist in conducting the Competition and communicating with the
entrant in regard to special offers from the Promoter and its related entities.
Entrants in the Competition also acknowledge and agree that the Promoter
may share an entrant’s personal information with the Promoter’s Australian
and foreign related entities which may contact the entrant with marketing
messages and special offers. Entrants in the Competition further
acknowledge and agree that the Promoter may disclose the entrant’s
personal information to FFA who may contact the entrant with information
about Football in Australia. Information about how FFA will handle an
entrant’s information is available at www.footballaustralia.com.au/privacy.
Without limiting the foregoing, the Promoter may also disclose an entrant’s
personal information to third parties for the purposes outlined above. The
Promoter is bound by the Australian Privacy Principles in the Privacy Act
1988 (Cth). Entrants may find out more information about how the Promoter
collects, uses and discloses personal information by reading the Promoter’s
Privacy Policy, which is available at http://www.foxsports.com.au/aboutus/privacy. Entrants may access the personal information the Promoter holds
about them by writing to the Promoter at the address set out below. If the
Promoter limits or denies an entrant access to their personal information in
certain circumstances, the Promoter will tell the entrant why access was
limited or denied. The entrant can contact the Promoter by writing to the
Promoter at 4 Broadcast Way, Artarmon NSW 2064.
10.
General
10.1
All Entries must be original to and created solely by the entrant. All Entries
and all copyright and other rights in such entries and/or other materials
become the property of the Promoter and will not be returned. Each entrant
agrees to provide a written assignment of all rights to the Promoter if
requested. By submitting an Entry and any other materials (save for any
personal information) to the Promoter in connection with the Competition,
each entrant:
(a)
specifically authorises the Promoter to use and/or license third parties
to use such Entry in whole or in part, throughout the universe, in
perpetuity in or on any and all media, whether currently in existence or
developed in the future, and alone or together or as part of other
information, content and/or material of any kind or nature;
(b)
represents and warrants that all elements contained in the Entry or
other material:
(c)
(i)
are original to the entrant and fully cleared for use as
contemplated in these Conditions of Entry;
(ii)
do not and will not, in any way, violate or breach any of the
terms of any other agreement the entrant may be a party to;
(iii)
do not contain defamatory, tortious or otherwise unlawful,
untrue or inaccurate information, infringe or violate any
copyright or other right; or contain any matter the publication
or sale of which will violate any law;
(iv)
are not obscene or likely to cause offence;
(v)
are not in any way cruel or abusive; and
(vi)
will not require the Promoter to pay or incur any sums to any
person or entity as a result of Promoters’ use or exploitation of
the same; and
unconditionally and irrevocably consents to any act or omission which
would otherwise infringe any of their moral rights in the entry and
waives all moral rights in the entry that arise outside Australia.
10.2
This Competition is a game of skill. Chance plays no part in determining the
prize winner.
10.3
Acceptance of the prize constitutes consent on the prize winner’s part to
allow the use of the prize winner’s name, image, voice and/or likeness
(including but not limited to, any recordings of the prize winner taking the
prize) by the Promoter for editorial, advertising, promotional, marketing
and/or other purposes without further compensation except where prohibited
by law.
10.4
No correspondence will be entered into and the judges’ decision is final and
binding.
10.5
Without limiting the Game Rules as set out in Annexure One, if for any
reason the Competition is not capable of running as planned, including due to
infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, technical failures or any other
causes beyond the control of the Promoter, which corrupt or affect the
fairness or integrity or proper conduct of the Competition, the Promoter
reserves the right in its sole discretion to disqualify any individual who
tampers with the entry process and to cancel, modify, terminate or suspend
the Competition.
10.6
The prize winner is advised that tax implications may arise from the prize and
should seek independent financial and taxation advice prior to their
acceptance of the prize. The prize winner is responsible for all taxes
(excluding GST) which may be payable as consequence of receiving a prize.
11.

Annexure One
EA QUALIFYING TOURNAMENT GAME RULES
All Rules are subject to change, and changes may be posted without notice. The format of
the Qualifying Tournament may also be changed without notice. It is each participant’s
responsibility to know and understand the Rules as they exist the day of the Qualifying
Tournament.

All Qualifying Tournaments will be played in EA SPORTS FIFA 15 Ultimate Team
Friendly Seasons mode on PlayStation 4 only.
All participants’ PSN accounts are required to have an active PlayStation Plus
subscription.
Set Up: Each participant will have 10 minutes to set-up/recover their Ultimate Team &
add opponents as friend.
Participants are not permitted to apply attribute-enhancing consumable items to their
Ultimate Team players. Player items showing the effects of attribute-enhancing
consumables must be removed from the squad entirely.
It is the participant’s responsibility to manage the fitness and injury status of the
players in their squad before the Qualifying Tournament.
All players in the participant’s Ultimate Team must be current A-League players. For
the avoidance of doubt, participants must not use A-League players who feature in
FIFA 15 Ultimate Team but who are no longer registered to play for a A-League Club
including, without limitation, the following former A-League players:

In the event that a match in a Qualifying Tournament ends as a draw, it will be played
in FIFA Ultimate Team™ Friendly seasons mode with the participant who scores first
declared the winner. Once the referee has confirmed the result, the losing participant
must exit out of the match to ensure that their opponent is granted the win in-game.
In the event that a participant does not attend the Qualifying Tournament in time for
their allocated match, an alternative participant will replace them.
In the event that FIFA 15 Ultimate Team is unavailable, the participants will play with
A-League teams in Kick Off mode.
When the first round in each heat of the Qualifying Tournament has been undertaken,
the participants who have progressed to the next heat will have 5 minutes within the 10
minute set-up/recover to apply fitness and injury consumables. Attribute-enhancing
consumable items to player are not permitted.

All games are played on the EA SPORTS FIFA 15 ULTIMATE TEAM and on PS4 only.
Players are required to have their Ultimate Team finalised with current Hyundai ALeague players only. In-form and special versions of Hyundai A-League players are
also allowed.
Each participant’s Ultimate Team will be named and represented by a Hyundai ALeague club.
No coaching during a Qualifying Tournament is allowed (for example, people in the
audience may not advise a participant whilst the participant is playing).
Participants are prohibited from wearing headsets and must not listen to any music
during EA Qualifying Tournament.
Controllers are supplied by PlayStation. Participants are responsible for ensuring that
they are familiar with the controller’s functions and mode of operation. If a controller is
defective, a participant can pause the game and notify the referee. The referee will
determine the status of the controller in making such a decision. If a participant plays
with a defective controller, all results are nevertheless valid.
The game mode played will be ‘ULTIMATE TEAM’.
Participants cannot change their Ultimate Team whilst in game.
Unnecessary pauses or delays are prohibited.
Any action designed to disrupt the opposing participant’s view of the field or ability to
select controlled players is prohibited.
Each game will begin play at its designated time, and as designated on site at the EA
Qualifying Tournament.
Participants will be shown their designated station, and must set up the game and
begin play immediately. Each participant will have 10 minutes to recover their Ultimate
Team, configure their controls, line-ups and settings in accordance with the Rules set
out in this document and in ‘Game-play settings‛. Custom packages and anything that
is not available in the ‘in-game pause’ menu cannot be used.
Players are be responsible for remembering the game situation so if a game is
interrupted, the situation can be restored. In all situations possible, tournament

referees will monitor the game situation so that it may be restored in the event of game
interruptions.
Players must raise their hands at the end of the game so a referee can record their
score. Only scores reported to the referee are official.
No replays or game interruptions, except for designated pauses to report scores (if
any), are allowed.
If both players draw in their heat they will be required to play again until one opponent
scores.

If a game is interrupted intentionally by any participant, that participant will be
disqualified from the EA Qualifying Tournament immediately.
If a game interruption is caused by outside circumstances such as a machine error or
loss of power, the game will be continued from the point of interruption, if possible.
Notwithstanding the above clauses 1 and 2, a participant can pause the game to

Referees

Referees will be on site to monitor all game play. Referees will begin play, and will
record scores for each game.
Referees will be identified by a special ID tag.
The decision of a referee is final and binding.
Players must wear attire appropriate to the circumstances and location at which an
event is taking place.
Players shall not wear, carry or bear any items of a commercial, religious or political
nature, or which in FIFA’s opinion reflect unfavourably upon the Fox Fans League,
FIFA, any FIFA event, EA or PS nor carry out any promotional activity in connection
with the Fox Fans League unless otherwise approved in writing by Fox Sports.
Drugs and Alcohol

Use of alcohol or drugs by participants is prohibited on the premises of a Location, or
during the attendance of, live events or Qualifying Tournaments, for the duration of the
Qualifying Tournament.
Players must not be under the influence of drugs or alcohol while participating in a
Qualifying Tournament.
Smoking is prohibited except in designated areas of the Locations.
Any player who appears to violate the above terms under this clause may be
sanctioned by EA.
