Dear Parents,
Hari Om! As we stand on the eve of a brilliant and successful year gone by for Pre-primary,
I am immensely proud of all our achievements. It has been a glorious academic year in
2014-15 and I would like to extend my heartfelt gratitude to everyone who made this year
a success.
We would like to extend a very warm welcome to all our new students as they join the New
Horizon family. We promise to ensure that all our students will get the best of a holistic
education that we at New Horizon Vidya Mandir strive to impart to all our children. In any
educational system, it is important to put the child first, and as such, we provide the ideal
environment where children can feel secure, loved and encouraged. This in turn makes the
child achieve their highest potential and be well prepared for the next step in their
education.
I would like to extend my congratulations to all our young students for having successfully
completed a fun filled and rewarding academic year. A special thanks to all the parents who
have worked with us hand in hand in making this year a success. Your continued support
and cooperation has helped all of us here at New Horizon Vidya Mandir achieve our
milestones in the year gone by. We look forward to continuing this working relationship in
the coming year as well.
I also thank the management team for their support and guidance in all our ventures. Their
constant help and leadership has always steered us towards success.
Last but not the least, my gratitude goes out to the brilliant team of teachers that we have
here at New Horizon Vidya Mandir. They have played a crucial and invaluable role in
making 2014-15 a grand success. They are the key to all the accomplishments of our
students and the Pre primary section.
Given below are the activities that were conducted in the academic year 2014-15:
INTER SCHOOL ACTIVITIES
 Participation in “Expressions” conducted by HAL Public school where our students
participated in the Fancy dress, Recitation and Story telling competitions.
 Participation in Goloka Shades conducted by Iskon where the special achievers
award was won.
 Participation in the MaRRS Pre-School Bee where students successfully completed
the first level of the competition.

INTER CLASS ACTIVITIES
 Inter class competitions were held in different categories like Talent hunt, Fancy
Dress, Colouring, Art And Craft, Recitation (English, Hindi and Kannada) ,Shloka
Chanting, Storytelling (English, Hindi and Kannada) Dancing, Singing and
Handwriting.
 Students participated in the Independence Day and Founders day celebration.
 Annual Day and Sports Day were conducted on a grand scale.
 Students were taken for field trips to the Post Office, Fire Station and places of
worship.
 Other festivals like Ganesh Chaturthi, Onam, Sankranti, Krishna Jayanthi, Raksha
Bandhan, Children’s Day, Christmas, Market Day, Fruit Mela and Colour Day were
celebrated.
WORKSHOPS ATTENDED BY TEACHERS
Constructive workshops were arranged for our team of teachers like:

Workshop on ADHD(Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder) by Mrs. Roopmala
Koneri Principal of New Horizon College of Education.
Workshop on The techniques of Story Telling and theatre by Mr.Gaurav from
The Confidence Zone of India.
Orientation Programme for Teachers and Parents on Effective Parenting by Mrs.
Phyllis Farias.
Workshop on Child Abuse conducted by Mrs. Sushree Mishra from “Parivarthan”.
Workshop on fire safety and the usage of Fire Extinguishers.

FEES: The school fee can be paid in TWO installments. First installment may be paid from
20th March 2015 to 10th April 2015 only. Second installment will have to be paid between
20th Sept 2015 to 30th Sept 2015. The school fee includes the cost of books and

OPTION 2- AT SCHOOL CASH COUNTER
 Fees can be paid at the school cash counter (A/c No. 986418415) by
Cash/DD/ Cheque (DD/cheque to be made in favour of NEW HORIZON
VIDYA MANDIR by filling up the prescribed Fee Slip).
Note: The cheque is to be deposited at the cash counter at least 3 working
days before the due date for collection of books. The name of the student,
admission number, class with section and the contact phone number of the
parent should be written legibly on the reverse of the cheque/DD. In case of
bounced/rejected cheque, there will be a penalty of Rs. 1000/- levied.
 Please mention Admission No. /Computer code of the student on the challan.
 Fees to be paid before collecting books & stationery. Kindly submit the
photocopy of the fee challan to the class teacher while collecting the
books.
 1st Installment Fees for the academic year 2015-16 is the Tuition Fees
installment and is inclusive of books and stationery only.

IDENTIFICATION CARD
We will be following an online process for the generation of student’s ID card. Hence,
please visit the site – www.eidcms.com and follow the below mentioned instructions:

 Please input the correct details in the form.
 For student’s ID card: please keep a digital photo(Passport size) of your child in
the school uniform only (black and white), for uploading(the size of the photo
should not exceed 2 MB).
 For parent’s ID card: photo of Father and Mother(Mandatory), Gaurdian 1 and
Gaurdian 2 (if any) for uploading (the size of the photo should not exceed 2 MB).
 To upload the photo click attach under upload Images which is on the right hand
side of the screen. Please wait till the photo is displayed completely.
 If you are scanning a photo then select only the photo area and scan. Select the
resolution to be minimum 300dpi.
 Please verify the entered data before saving.
 No correction can be made after the data is saved and you exit the window.
 Press SAVE to complete the process. Please keep the order number and password
with you for further reference.
 Access to the website will be open only on below mentioned dates:
5th April 2015 to 5th May 2015
NOTE: The data entered by any parent will be accessible ONLY by the administration
department. Hence, confidentiality of data will be maintained. Parents are requested to
complete the ID card process within the given time frame to ensure that the ID cards are
delivered on time. The school will not hand over children under any circumstance if the ID
card is not presented(in case of parent pick up).

TRANSPORTATION
 School transport is available to all the students interested in availing the same.
 Application form for transport will be available from 1st April 2015 in our
website www.newhorizonvidyamandir.in- TRANSPORT TAB. Kindly download
the form and submit the application to the transport desk.
 Transport fees will have to be paid before availing the facility in ONE installment
only. Kindly submit the filled in application along with the fee challan to the
transport desk (for registration).
 Transport fees can be paid at the school cash counter (A/c No. 986418415) by
Cash/ Online/DD/Cheque (DD/cheque to be made in favour of NEW HORIZON
VIDYA MANDIR by filling up the prescribed Fee Slip.)
o Note: The cheque/cash/DD to be deposited at the cash counter before
20th April 2015, in order for correct routing to be done and for the students’
details to be uploaded in the route list on the NHVM website. The name of the
student, admission number, class with section and the contact phone number

DAY CARE FACILITY
Day care facility will be provided for the students of New Horizon Vidya Mandir on request.
The details are as mentioned below.
o Timings: 1:00 pm to 6:30 pm and 1:00 pm to 7:30 pm
 Parents may choose any one time slot.
 During the time at day care, the students will be involved in games, reading, art
work and indoor/outdoor activities.
 Children will have a ‘Nap Time’ to help revitalize them.
 Students may also avail of special coaching classes for Karate, Dance (free
style)Music- vocal/instrument (Key Board only) and Abacus conducted by experts
for additional fees.
 Students will be provided nutritious lunch at lunch time. Milk and snacks will be
provided at 4:00 pm and 6:00 pm. The menu for the month will be updated on the
web site.
Day care will function from Monday to Friday except on government holidays.
 Day care will remain open on all long vacations.
 List of holidays will be put up on the web site. Day Care Fees can be paid at the
school cash counter (A/c No. 986418415) by Cash/ Online/DD/Cheque
(DD/cheque to be made in favour of NEW HORIZON VIDYA MANDIR by filling up
the prescribed Fee Slip).
