Third and Fourth Grade Families:
Today, you received a letter regarding our upcoming state assessment. We will begin our assessment at
SeDoMoCha on Tuesday, March 31st.
Just a few reminders…
• Please be sure your child receives plenty of rest.
• Please be sure your child has breakfast each morning. Reminder: Free breakfast is available
everyday for all of our students.
• Please be sure your child arrives promptly to school.
• If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to contact your child’s teacher.
• We expect students to give their best effort.
Thank you for your continued support. Together we can make a difference!
For all of our Families:
Please remember that our morning duty teachers do not arrive to the playground until 7:40 a.m. For the safety of
our students, please ensure there is adult supervision on the playground before dropping off your children.
As always, please do not hesitate to contact teachers, Mr. Lokken, or myself with questions or concerns that may
arise. When we work together, students will continue to have a great year!
SSO News…..
Greetings from the SSO! We have had a very busy week, and we would like to thank
the many volunteers who have helped us with the Scholastic Book Fair and with
cooking for teachers. Both were very successful, and we simply could not do it without
all of you! The basket raffle was also amazing this year, with so many families sending
in great items so that we could offer some really nice prizes. The winners will be
drawn on Friday, March 19th, and if you win we will contact you. Gift cards were also
available for pick up at the Book Fair, but if you were unable to get yours during that
time, please contact Shannen Rhoda to make other arrangements. Next week we will
be popping and selling popcorn. We will pop on Wednesday and sell on Thursday, and
it will be 50 cents a bag, as usual. If you are interested in helping on either of those
days, keep an eye on our Facebook page, or contact Theresa Makowski for more
information. On April 15th, we will be sending the entire school to see the all youth
performance of The Jungle Book. This is always a great time as the kids are able to
enjoy some great entertainment as well as support their peers who are passionate about
theater. Look for more details about that in the coming weeks. And as always, if you
have any questions about who we are and what we do, or if you would like to become a
part of it, we meet on the second Wednesday of each month in the Teacher's room
at 6:30. Or you can call Monica Demers at 943-3896. We look forward to Spring ,and
all of the exciting things we have coming up!

Nurse’s Notes
There have been a few cases of head lice in our school. Lice are
spread most commonly by direct head to head contact. Less
frequently, they are spread by sharing clothing or belongings.
Please remind your children to avoid sharing clothing,
hairbrushes/combs, towels and sports equipment. You can help
by checking your children’s hair for head lice and treating
promptly if any are found. If you have any questions please
contact me at the school office.
Wellness News
Mark your calendars for Saturday, May 2 for “Healthy Kids
Day”. This event will be held at the PRYMCA. The
SeDoMoCha Wellness team and the staff at the YMCA will be
working together to have a fun event that encourages healthy
living.
Evergreen Children’s Bereavement Program
Pine Tree Hospice is excited to announce a new series which
will meet weekly for 6 weeks, beginning on Wednesday,
March 25th (excluding April school vacation week) from
6:30p.m.-7:30 p.m. at the Dover-Foxcroft Congregational
Church. Each session will have a different focus, such as
memoriers, feelings, and coping. An adult/parents group is
also available while the children meet.
A death in the family affects every member from the oldest to
the youngest. A child’s grief may be expressed in ways that
are different from an adult’s. Please contact Pine Tree Hospice
by calling 564-4346 or e-mailing [email protected]
to pre-register for this session.
