WELCOME - CCIA & CIMC
As the exclusive partner of
Intermodal Asia, the CCIA
welcomes you to attend the
second Intermodal Asia Exhibition
2015.
Mr Mai Bo Liang
We are delighted to
be able to welcome
you to Intermodal
Asia 2015…
…a vital platform
for the future of
Asia’s intermodal
trade.
Launched from the long-running
success of the Intermodal Europe
shows, established and respected
throughout the industry, the first
Intermodal Asia was successfully
held in Shanghai last year and
became a new platform for the
Asian shipping and container
industry.
The Asia exhibition also brings
new vitality into the world famous
Intermodal brand! It is the perfect
opportunity for professionals from
throughout the world to come
together to network, do business
and encourage the healthy and
sustainable development of
modern intermodal transport.
The Asian and Chinese shipping
industry exerts an indispensable
role all around the world. In 2014,
the national strategy concept of
“The New Silk Road Economic
Region” and “21 century Maritime
Silk Road”, proposed by China
leaders are being energetically
promoted, and the activities have
also had a positive response from
regional countries. The Chinese
government has introduced
medium & long-term plans for
the Logistics Industry (20142020), which put intermodal
as the primary task of logistics
development, building new great
route of international cooperation
2
and generating a new opportunity
in Asia.
Intermodal transportation has
changed the development of
the world economy and trade,
and it will bring positive and
profound change for global
future development. This
exhibition will bring together
hundreds of shipping companies,
leasing companies, container
manufacturing companies from
domestic and overseas, and
other relative suppliers. We
will exchange extensive views
on hot topics such as current
macroeconomic situation
and international trading etc.
Intermodal Asia will become a new
platform that provides Chinese
enterprises access to integrating
with international business.
We are delighted to be able to
welcome you to visit Intermodal
Asia 2015, and with a full floor of
exhibitors, combined with a high
level conference, we believe it will
provide a vital platform to discuss
the future of Asia’s intermodal
trade.
All visitors are welcome to visit the
CCIA stand on G31 / G35 and the
CIMC on stand E01.
Mr Mai Bo Liang
Chairman of the CCIA
and President of CIMC

4FOLD, the first ISO certified 40ft HC foldable container,
was successfully publicly demonstrated for the first time
at the Intermodal Europe 2014 in Rotterdam. These demonstrations will now be repeated in Shanghai during the
Intermodal Asia 2015. Next to live demonstrations three
times a day (10am / 12.30pm / 3pm), 4FOLD will also give
a presentation with results from the commercial voyages
of the past years.
Several 4FOLD containers have now been successfully
tested in the field. The results of these trials provide the
confirmation that the container works and performs as expected in real life and brings the necessary savings to our
clients (>15% on their operational costs). The costs and
environmental issues can be significantly lowered when
shipping lines use the 4FOLD foldable container. When
empty it can be folded to a quarter of the height. Four
folded containers can be bundled and one bundle of four
folded containers has exactly the same dimensions as a
standard container.
