Celebrating 30 Years!
Dear Friends,
Friends of Ronald McDonald House® of Akron (Friends of RMHA) has been formed to lend our
helping hands to the Ronald McDonald House® of Akron (RMH of Akron). The House is
celebrating its’ 30th anniversary and we are hosting a fundraiser on June 4th at Gervasi
Vineyard. We are reaching out to you, as many of the families who stay in our House, reside in
your community.
RMH of Akron enables parents to be with their sick children during difficult times. It relieves
stress on the parents by providing a warm, peaceful, and comforting place while giving their
children support. RMH of Akron provides a 'home away from home' while families are facing
the weight of caring for their hospitalized child. Our House offers families the most important
gift of all - the gift of togetherness.
Please help us care for these children and their families by joining us Thursday, June 4, 2015
at the lovely Gervasi Vineyard in Canton, Ohio.
We are offering the following options for sponsorships:

Ten event tickets, table signage, social media recognition, program recognition, and
easel recognition.
Gold Sponsor
$2,000
Ten tickets, table signage, program recognition, and easel recognition.
Silver Sponsor
$1,000
Four tickets, table signage, program recognition, and easel recognition

$500
Two tickets and program recognition.
There will be a unique offering of silent & live auction items. In conclusion, Friends of RMHA
needs your help. Your attendance at the event, cash donation, or contribution of a silent
auction item would be greatly appreciated.

30 Years Strong...
Ronald McDonald House® of Akron was founded by families for the
purpose of providing a temporary house for those who have loved
ones at Akron Children's Hospital.
“I became most familiar with it when my father, Richard Heidman,
was part of the building of the Akron (RMH) House. During some of
my home visits from college and thereafter, I occasionally cooked
meals and volunteered. (The House) was always a passion and
dear to my father’s heart as it is mine.” – Lea Heidman (McDonald’s
Owner/Operator)
Your support helps us to provide a place for families to eat, sleep,
shower, and rest while being able to stay close to their children in
the hospital. Your support reaches many families in many ways. Our
2014 statistics are proof of your donations at work and why we’re
expanding our House!!
Celebrating 30 years of operation!
Served over 12,872 individuals!
Provided a home for 55 families for stays longer than one month
Served a full meal for all our residents each night of the year
Continued to only ask for a $10 per night donation
Covered 69% of requested room donations!
Included 135 volunteers in our operation that provided 10,749
volunteer hours
Recycled $4000 worth of donated pop tabs!
Housed families from multiple Ohio counties, various states in the
U.S., and several foreign countries.
Due to our Wait List we turned families away 5,747 times
We appreciate your support and so do our families!
