Terms and Conditions: Nomanslanding
1.Children under the age of 16 are not permitted to engage in this
event without being accompanied by a parent or a guardian.
2.Children under the age of 18 are not permitted to engage in this
event without being accompanied by a parent or a guardian,
or unless the child produces a written, signed authority from
a parent or a guardian.
3.Sydney Harbour Foreshore Authority reserves the right to request
proof of age, and to refuse entry to a participant who refuses
to produce such evidence, or who produces such evidence as
deemed unacceptable to Sydney Harbour Foreshore Authority,
in its absolute discretion.
4.Adults and carers are responsible for persons under their
supervision at all times, and acknowledge that the staff of Sydney
Harbour Foreshore Authority cannot supervise persons (including
children) who are under the supervision of others.
5.Participants with medical conditions are responsible for assessing
whether they can participate, and agree to seek medical advice
if uncertain.
6.The participant accepts the inherent risks associated with the
event, and agrees to consider their participation in a responsible
manner and with good judgement.
7.The participant agrees to behave in a careful and reasonable
manner throughout their journey on the artwork including
refraining from behaviour which could affect either their safety
or the safety of others, and acknowledges that there is a
possibility that an injury or accident could occur during their
participation in the event.
8.The participant engages in the event at his or her own risk and
agrees to comply with verbal and written staff instructions and
warnings, and in accordance with all applicable laws and rules
in force at the time of participation.
9.The participant agrees to be solely liable for any damage
occasioned or caused to any persons or property (including the
artwork) arising as a direct or indirect result of their negligent
or wilful or unlawful actions during their participation in the event.
10.The participant agrees to indemnify and keep indemnified, Sydney
Harbour Foreshore Authority, Glasgow Life and Urbane Kunste
Ruhr and their servants, employees and agents, the
Nomanslanding artists and Event Engineering from and against all
actions, demands, claims, proceedings, losses, damages, costs
(including legal costs), charges and expenses suffered or incurred
by the participant, or any person acting under the control or at the
direction of the participant relating from any damage or
destruction to any real or personal property and injury (including
death) suffered or sustained by any persons arising out of or in
connection with their participation in the event.
11.The participant releases to the full extent permitted by law the
Crown in the State of New South Wales (Sydney Harbour
Foreshore Authority), the Minister for Planning, the Director
General of the Department of Planning and Infrastructure and their
servants, employees and agents, and all the parties who have
been responsible for the creation and implementation of the event
(including the Nomanslanding artists and Event Engineering and
their servants, employees and agents) in the absence of any
negligence on their part from all claims and demands of every
kind resulting from any loss, damage, accident or injury
(including death) occurring as a result of the registered
participant’s activities, or the activities of any person acting under
the control or direction of the participant, or due to the
participant’s participation in the event.
12.Sydney Harbour Foreshore Authority will not be responsible for
loss of property, and the participant remains responsible for its
own personal property at all times.
13.The participant agrees as a condition of entry, to wear all
compulsory safety equipment provided for the full duration
of the event.
14.The participant agrees to return the safety equipment on
departing the event.
15.Sydney Harbour Foreshore Authority shall have the right at any
time, to retake possession of the safety equipment.
16.The participant acknowledges that there is a possibility that
an injury or accident could occur during the use of the safety
equipment.
17.The participant agrees to refrain from taking photographs or
making recordings when on the installation. Photographs and
recordings from the shore are permitted, for personal purposes
only. The participant acknowledges that Sydney Harbour
Foreshore Authority may use any photographs that it takes of the
participant for the commercial purposes of Sydney Harbour
Foreshore Authority, without payment to the participant.
18.The installation is protected by copyright and other intellectual
property rights, and a participant must not infringe those rights.
19.Sydney Harbour Foreshore Authority shall have the right at any
time, to remove participants from the installation including due
to inappropriate behaviour, or if under the influence of drugs or
alcohol or due to failure to properly supervise persons under the
care of a participant.
20.Sydney Harbour Foreshore Authority may close the event at any
time on a permanent or temporary basis due to inclement
weather, safety, acts of God, or for any other reason in its
absolute discretion.
21.Sydney Harbour Foreshore Authority has a no smoking policy.
No smoking is permitted on the installation, or as directed by
Sydney Harbour Foreshore Authority.
22.Sydney Harbour Foreshore Authority reserves the right to inspect
participant’s bags at any time for security purposes.
23.Appropriate footwear must be worn on the installation.
24.Sydney Harbour Authority reserves the right to modify the
conditions of entry at any time.

iii)I agree to participate in the Nomanslanding event, which remains
